Made an appointment with Brondes ford to have my 2007 **** edge looked at for a transmission shifting issue. The transmission was under warranty from **** under there warranty @ maintenance program when I purchased a factory refurbished transmission from ***************. The transmission failed around **** miles from the time installation to the time of this service call. I took all the information that I had for the car with a letter of what was done to the car along with work performed. **** and another service writer at Brondes ford told me we dont need this we will look at the car and make our own assignment of what is wrong with the vehicle. The car also had a two case numbers filed with **** customer care from the start of the issue with both dealerships. The problem started in late august of 2023with the transmission. Pulled from another dealer after car sitting for 3 weeks with no response or start of work. Made an appointment with **** at Brondes on September 26, 2023. Told the service writer ****, I would like a new refurbished transmission to be installed seeing the low miles at which this failed. They said will take it apart to see what is wrong with it and let you know. I Told **** at what condition the vehicle made the issue are and what we are concerned with. **** said that was fine and would call me after they had looked at it. The next day **** contacted me and told me they couldnt find anything wrong with the car. I told him did you drive it for about a Half hour. It would cause the problem I spoke to you yesterday about. Note invoice and what customer states car has issues when vehicle is warm. **** said OK and called me the next day after driving the car and that the transmission had an issue and would have Made an appointment with Brondes ford to have my 2007 **** edge looked at for a transmission shifting issue. Note invoice and what customer states car has issues when vehicle is warm. to be looked at. Brondes tore the transmission apart and found some shift solenoid and other items need to be replaced in the transmission and one was no longer available but found one from another dealership. I asked Brondes to check on the service of the new ptu transfer case for me. Brondes gave a cost of ****** for something that was already removed and sitting on a bench I didnt agree with price but needed it done for warranty issues. While reassembling the car back together they told me that I had a busted power steering line. The price of $145.09 and a half hour of labor. Check invoice ******. I told them I wanted to see the line when the work was done. They drove the car and reported I had a grinding noise in the car, and they suspected it was both front wheel bearings. I told them I had just replaced one of them and why this was not reported from the initial test drive, seeing that you drove the car for so long you wouldve heard that. I told them the technician had over tied the front axles and that caused the bearing failure. Brondes repaired the bearings. I went to pick the car up and asked **** the service writer for the power steering line. He told me the cleaning person had thrown it out. I told him 4 times in conversation I wanted the line. He couldnt produce it. So, price out of pocket now is ****** with ptu service which only takes 15 min if the unit is removed. Picked the vehicle up and which my cousin drove from Brondes to my house which is 1 miles from my home. Upon picking me up he told me it wasnt right. He showed me what it was doing on the hard shifting and delayed shifting. He knows what hes looking for. His qualifications are more than adequate seeing having 50 years of mechanical experience in the automotive field. The car was also dirty with grease and footprints on the drivers side of the car. I have pictures from when it picked up the second time. Also left the car unsecured in the back lot with door unlocked and hood left open. Engine supported by a ratchet strap, nuts and bolts left under the hood. This was how they let my vehicle sit outside waiting for parts to arrive. Have pictures of this also. They removed this transmission and replaced it with another one from ****. Brondes told me the car was done and ready for pick up. The drivers side was dirty with grease and on the carpet. When driving the car found a check engine light on now and an oil leak. I called Brondes, asked them what had happened to the vehicle and said did they had left something loose. I scanned the car and told them what the code was and asked did they had left anything unhooked or loose from the check engine light. **** said no he didnt think so. This is after they told me they test drove the car. I dropped the car off the next day. They informed me thar the ptu needed a seal and it was leaking. I told **** at Brondes that was a new ptu and had a warranty. ***, the service manager at Brondes wanted me to see if I could get it warrantied for them. I said I had to investigate it. I then went to Brondes and talked with ***. The service manager told him I would not warranty it. they would have to. That the warranty would not cover a torn seal, only mechanical failure. Just a reminder they took this ptu out twice now and serviced it the unit. *** asked why we are only trying to help you out. They wanted to reseal the unit and I said no. You are going to affect the warranty with this unit I paid ****** dollars for from parts plus. I told them I wanted the same unit reinstalled on the vehicle. He left me a message that they are going to install a new ptu. I went to pick up the vehicle and was told by **** they had installed a **** ptu. I told **** the service e writer it was unescapable due to the warranty and difference between the two units. I left Brondes today 12/06/23 with no vehicle and no way to talk with the service manager till Monday being on vacation this week.

I dropped an F150 off on 6/6 for timing and injectors. I get sent a message on 6/13 with a digital quote. I called in to talk to an "advisor" because the price doesn't match book hours. I refused some work and agreed to some work. I requested a written quote and Jim refused, I asked for a price and Jim told me he "would do what he could to keep the price down", I was not given an actual quoted price. Ohio law 109:4-3-13 requires they give both of those upon request. Jim told me they had the parts and it should be completed by Monday 6/19. I called on Monday and was told that they just received the parts (the ones they said they already had almost a week ago) and it should be done within the week. They already had it, might as well let them fix it. The total job shouldn't take more than 30 hours. I called on Thursday 6/22 for an update because I needed the truck for the weekend. I was told that the tech was still working on it and it should be done on Monday. So, I call on Monday, 6/26 (three weeks after dropping it off). Jim tells me that the tech can't get the engine to fire off but it should be good to go by end of day Tuesday. Well, he couldn't get it to fire until Thursday. Three days! How can you not get a 6 year old truck that you just worked on to fire for 3 days?! "Fine whatever, so it's ready?" "No, they have to do a test drive call back in a few hours". Jim had left early. Friday, Jim tells me the belt was slipping, he thinks they spilled some fluid on it, they're going to replace it and it should be good to go. I've had enough of it at this point, so I go to the shop. Turns out, the tech broke the air sensor port on the inlet and just glued it back on, the timing chain still rattles at startup, the entire engine compartment reaks of coolant, and theres a check engine light on that wasn't there when I brought it in. Turns out what Jim meant by try to save you money is to let a high school kid work on the truck and to reuse all my timing parts.
