If you are thinking about getting your pet groomed here ...DON'T!!!This was our first time here and will never go back. We were originally told it would take 4 hours to groom 2 dogs (which is much longer than they were used to) but it was 6 hours. Totally unacceptable. They didn't even take the dogs out to go potty. They are kept in these tiny cages while they goom multiple dogs. Our dogs came back traumatized. We had even visited the facility prior to their appointment and everything looked ok. We certainly were not expecting 6 hours and traumatized dogs. But that's what we got.Be prepared if you dare go here.

Good morning and thank you for expressing your concerns to us. We do ask for 4-6 hours from the appointment time to complete spa services. This was stated in your confirmation emails on 2/6/24 and again on the reminder emails on 2/13/24. I have ****** and Lexi checking in at 10am (their appointment time) and completed at 2:50pm and 3:00pm, then checked out at 3:15pm. That is within our asked time range. As stated in our emails, we do work on a rotation style as to not rush our process and have found this is much healthier and less stressful for our guests, along stylists. We do understand this is not the best fit for everyone and do offer an express spa service to try and accommodate. Rest assured your pets showed no signs of stress while with us and were actually quite outstanding guests. We hope you'd reconsider our services, if not we understand we aren't the best fit for all and wish you luck in your search for a stylist.

Love yuppy puppy! The staff takes wonderful care of your animals in all departments. The facility is very inviting, pet friendly, and clean. You can tell the ladies and gentlemen at *********** truly care for your pets like they would their very own. I wouldn't trust my pets going anywhere else

Very unprofessional. Consumer be forewarned your animals items will be lost at the owner’s expense because as the workers at Yuppy Puppy said they have 120 animals to care for in the back therefore They are not responsible for lost or damaged items. I was told I was over reacting. Irregardless of the value of a persons items they do belong to someone else and they should take responsibility. This business is crooked, not run professionally and I don’t take responsibility for their own faults. They’ll be seeing us in small claims court. Consumer be forewarned!

***************** is a first time client of Yuppy Puppy and **** stayed with us 3/25-3/28 checking out before 11 am. **** was a perfect guest and staff enjoyed caring for him very much. Upon checking out his leash and two toys were unable to be found. We explained that we launder items and that with the check out early in the morning we would be able to locate the items soon and instead of delaying her go home gave her a leash to go home with. At 5:00 ***************** and mom came into our lobby making way past clients waiting and demanded to speak with someone now. The general manager ****** and receptionist **** tried to talk to them out of the way of clients only for them to get further upset and a client picking up their dogs told them they were overreacting, not staff members. We understand the frustration and since then have been able to locate the toys and will be sending in the mail. The conversation escalated by ***************** and her guest and ended up having to be escorted of the premises do to them using profanity and making other YP clients upset. We have audio and cameras in our lobby and I was pleased how my staff handled the situation for not only their safety but the safety of my clients in the lobby. While we loved having **** as our guest he is not welcome back at Yuppy Puppy anymore as we do not tolerate threats and profanity used on staff or clients

      Customer Response

Today is Saturday, 6 August 2022. The owner has had ample time to mail back the items as she stated above. It does not shock me in the slightest that we have not received them . Additionally, note these statements the owner has made in writing above are completely untrue. Has she stated above there is video and audio in her building I oblige for her to show it. False statements by the owner - mom came into our lobby making way past clients waiting and demanded to speak with someone now. What really happened, I walked in people were standing against the wall there were two receptionist and one was completely open and available so naturally I walked up to her and asked to speak to the owner. She stated the owner was not there so I proceeded to tell her my daughters experience and see if we could come to a resolution on the missing items. However, before I could finish what happened the other receptionist who was helping another customer, rudely interrupted and stated what I said was not true.which was my daughter had waited 30 minutes for them to find the missing items for her puppy. Several brand new toys as well as a retractable leash . She had been handed a bag with food in it for another dog as well as a leash for another animal that did not belong to her . She let the person know this is does not belong to my dog. A little old lady next to ***** said that leash belongs to me . We cant help but wonder if yuppie puppy gave her items to another customer . In the meantime ***** is waiting in the lobby while they are looking for her items for 30 minutes . Finally ***** gave up and said Im going to be late for class I need to drop my dog back off at the house and get to school. At no time did yuppie puppy stay that her items were laundered that was a complete lie . Again I welcome you to show the audio and video where that was stated . Another item that was false the manager ****** offered us no resolution and said that they have 120 dogs back there. If an item gets lost or damaged according to their contract it is not their responsibility. Again I ask that you playback the audio and video. My mouth dropped. It was at this time another customer chimed in and started calling us crazy. The owner ****** did not ****** this customer out. Instead she allowed this customer to treat us this way. Not to mention Yuppy puppy Downright stole from us and offered us no apology. For an unknown woman out of nowhere to start a ruckus and start name calling is very childish and the fact that yuppie puppy allowed it makes me wonder that they had something to do with it to. Of course it ***et my daughter because she did not want a grown woman calling her mother names and she let her know not to disrespect her mother like that. Im very proud of the young woman she is and that she stood up to a bully like that a woman three times her size. This place is crooked. They steal from consumers at The customers expense. They hide behind a false faade of helping animals in need but the reality is they steal. They overboard pets and understaff. They do not fulfill service as promised and paid for. They lose personal effects and items for your animal and do not except responsibility for those lost items. Who cares about being the coolest company what about your animals health and welfare and good customer service. Yuppie ********************** just turned off their reviews on ******** because they were so bad and they want to be able to control what gets posted. On ******** in the search bar type yuppie puppy pet spa then click on posts youll see a post from an employee as well as customers. Same with reviews on **** however yuppie puppy has no control over those reviews meaning they cannot delete them. -One review 5 days ago by a customer on FB If you or anyone you know takes their dog to Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa in Winghaven please share this with them. I am making this post so no other dog suffers like my dog did last week. This is my dog Comet. He has been apart of our family for almost 3 years now. He is a big part of our lives and we love him dearly. My family and I was going to be away from home for a week. I booked for him to stay at Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa. We had used them in the past and had noticed a few things off for instance over the 4th of July when he was there when I picked him up he didnt have his report filled out in his bag and his toys was missing. Another time he had dried pooped stuck to his ****. My husband had made the comment to me that he didnt think this place was that great. I should have listened. These photos are from last week. I dropped ***** off on Monday, July 18th and picked him up on a Monday, July 25th. When I took him on July 18th his face was clean and he was a happy and healthy dog. When I picked him up on July 25th they brought him out to me with a dirty face and a big sore on his neck. He was in pain and so sad acting. They never said one thing to me. Yuppy Puppy never once reached out to me that ***** was sick and this sore was growing on his neck. They even have a vet clinic that dogs are supposed to be taken to if they get sick while they are boarded. I had paid for extra me times and cuddle times at night for Comet. I believe that he was never getting the attention he was supposed to be getting. I got ***** into his vet clinic that we use on July 26th. He was diagnosed with a hotspot. He had to be put to sleep for his neck to get shaved and the sore cleaned out. He was given a steroid shot, antibiotic shot and powder sent home for us to put on his sore. He ended back at the vet the next day, July 27th for being agitated and in pain. He got sent home with pain pills and steroid pills. I tried calling Yuppy Puppy at Winghaven multiple times to talk to a manger. Every time I called the receptionist was rude and told me the manager was at the Yuppy Puppy *********** location to call them. I didnt feel like I should have to **** down the manager since it was their fault my dog was so sick. I called the Yuppy Puppy in *********** and that receptionist was understanding and got me in touch with ****** the manager. ****** said she would look into Comets stay. She called me back and said that ***** was loved on while there. I asked her if we was loved on then why wasnt this sore seen and I was notified. She couldnt answer that question. She told me to get his vet bills and that Yuppy Puppy would reimburse me. I gathered all of his vet records and invoices and sent them to her. She sent me back this policy that I have shared. I am refusing to sign it and they can keep the reimbursement check and shove it up their butts. I dont want any other dog to be neglected or abused like my sweet ***** was. It has been almost a week since ***** was last seen at his vet. His sore is drying up and he is healing. This past week I have seen other posts about Yuppy Puppy and how terrible their services are and other dogs coming home with sores and being sick. Please share so no other dogs get abused or neglected by Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa in Winghaven.-Posted by an employee 6 July 2022 If you or anyone you know bring your dogs or cats to Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH THEM. I am a former ** ******** employee. I have been basically their only full-time 6am-2pm boarding girl since the end of March. This means that most days that I worked I was by myself since they are understaffed. But what the customers dont know is that even though the business is understaffed she is still booking a full house. The ratio that they claim they try to follow is 1 boarding employee to every 25 dogs. Since I started, there were only a handful of days that the ratio of employees to dogs was enough. There were days I was by myself with over 60, 70, sometimes 80 dogs (especially at the start of their summer busy season). To say the least these dogs are not getting the attention they need, let alone the attention you are paying for. Below I have a picture of all of the room service options you can buy. -There has not been a single Me Time done since I started. (Some days I wasnt even able to take any of my breaks, so there is no way I would be able to take a single dog out for 20 minutes beyond their potty walks) -The Winghaven location has not had eggs for room service in stock for probably over a month now. Same with Greek yogurt and blueberries for Sunday Brunch. -The Bone Broth Mixer is currently watered down wet food from a can. -I never worked the 2pm-10pm shift but Im sure that they didnt have the time for ***************** Front desk will tell you they will get four potty walks a day, which isnt always true. It just isnt possible for one person to walk and feed 60, 70, maybe 80 dogs TWICE, administer medication to all of the dogs who are on meds, prep the meds for that night and the next morning, and then prep dinner and breakfast for the next day. On days like this I would be hustling nonstop and probably wouldnt receive any of my breaks. Since most days were like this it eventually got exhausting and very frustrating because clearly the owner didnt care that the dogs were not being properly taken care of. Eventually I reached a breaking point and demanded a raise with weekends off since my off days were always separated. The owner scheduled a meeting with me a couple of days later and when that day came I ended up waiting an hour and a half off the clock-past my shift for the meeting. This was just another indication that she had no respect for me, my time, or the hard work I was putting into her business everyday. They ended up giving me the raise because we all knew my work ethic was worth it and I cared for every dog as if it were my own; but they didnt give me weekends because top money makers make top money because they can have the availability to cover weekends and holidays. Which that was what it was, I was just tired of making them money I was making them on the weekends when there would be just me and maybe one other person with 80 dogs. Not only was it tiring, but it was flat out wrong and heartbreaking that I couldnt give the dogs the care they need. The only thing that kept me working for this company was the fact that I knew if I left there would be no one else who would care for the dogs like I did. The reason I assume that is because within my 3 month employment they hadnt been able to hire a single full time boarding employee with good work ethic. The termination of my employment is another story. I had heard a rumor that front desk had been pocketing boarding and play camp tips from customers. After I had heard the rumor there were three different employees who told me their situations regarding tips. -One boarding girl said she had brought a dog up to their owner and she saw a 5$ **** laying on the counter and when she went back to get it it was gone. -Another boarding girl also brought up a dog to their owner and the owner had said to her I left you gratuity. So she then came to me and asked if we get tips. I told her I wasnt sure and that I would ask and let her know.-A camp employee was up near the front desk when he overheard a camp customer trying to leave a tip for the employee that watched their dog in camp all day and he told me he never got that tip.I figured I would get to the bottom of it because if I was getting tips I wasnt seeing them on my check or in cash. The messages between me and the owner are in a screenshot below. When she finally answered my question (since she realized I actually had proof that customers were tipping boarding girls) I sent this same screenshot to the camp employees and boarding employees I mentioned before because they deserved to know where their tips were going. For doing this the owner and the higher *** claimed that I was stirring the pot and that I was (word for word) Starting ****. So that same day when I came home from work they emailed me a termination letter and immediately took me off their messaging app. I was let go for no reason other than the fact that the owner thought that I was asking too many questions. If she didnt have anything to hide she wouldnt mind her employees asking questions. I would NEVER take my own dogs to Yuppy Puppy, and that should tell you something. PLEASE share this post with peoples pets in mind. Also remember that your favorite restaurant isnt the only business that is understaffed. The boarding places you take your loved ones are businesses too; and I know first hand that this particular one is often times accepting too many dogs for the number of employees they have. Find a dog sitter instead! ??I also want to add that there are a lot of rescue dogs there that do need homes if you know someone who has one available for them.
