      First of all I want to say this is a long read but it is worth it if you are seriously thinking about purchasing from Ferrell’s/Monty’s. The homes are beautiful and we love ours BUT do not let that sell you. Please do your homework before you purchase from Mr.Ferrell. We put $11,000 down on our home the third week in January that was set to come in that following week (and it did). But it sat there until April 24th. My husband and I specifically chose this one because it was in stock. We needed something quick because we had sold our house. Our salesmen said it wouldn’t be a problem to have the home in place by the time we closed on our house. Flash forward to March 2....still no home or concrete slab. I got the complete run around from Monty’s saying they were trying to get me concrete. Which is why we had to put the $11,000 down. Come to find out the concrete guy knew nothing of it! I had to do all the work at coordinating it. Now I will say SOME of this weather did play a factor. So we finally get our trailer in place after it taking us a month and half to even close on it. Oh yes I had to reach out multiple times to our lender to get the deal to close since montys couldn’t handle that either! At closing we signed a paper showing that we understand the trim work will take up to 6-8 weeks after in place. Our salesman said they say it’s because of COVID but in reality they only have ONE MAN to do the trim work for BOTH companies! So flash forward again the trim out guy comes about three weeks after the trailer is in place. Stays from 9-3 and shocker still doesn’t finish!! Was supposed to come back the next day and didn’t. Then he reschedules for May 1st, THEN AGAIN on May 14th....and AGAIN on JUNE 11th!! Keep in mind we are paying mortgage on this home and Montys went out of their way to make sure they received their money the very next morning of my trailer being in place, which was not yet even anchored down yet!! Oh and not to forget they leave ALL their trash! Also had to take into my own hands to get heating/air scheduled- Aire Serve did it and was great!!! Let’s also not forget my whole pantry ceiling out to the hallway is cracked, my island is chipped and my faucet in my kitchen only runs scalding hot water which is not fun trying to do dishes, along with all the other basic trim work that is STILL NOT done. If we wait until June 11th it will put us at 11 1/2 weeks, but can’t count on that seeing as how this is the 3rd reschedule. I’m telling you if you can purchase a home somewhere else DO IT!! We love ours but this has been nothing but an absolute headache, run around, and lack of communication from the beginning. So flash forward to today I FiNALLY get in touch with Mr.******* himself. I have never spoke with anyone more condescending before. For someone who owns a business, he sure doesn’t seem like it. I called him and listed all my concerns above. He said that the world doesn’t revolve around me, he’s never met anyone with as many complaints as me, and that I am unhappy person. He basically was pushing me to get him to take us off his schedule ,and turn us over to the manufacture so he didn’t have to deal with fixing our issues. Now please keep in mind we put $11,000 down in JANUARY and they got their remainder in MARCH and we are expected to wait until June (if we’re lucky) to have this finished. We are paying mortgage and they got their money, but home is still not complete! I asked the owner to put himself in my shoes and pay over $100,000 for something and it still not be done. I was told I needed to be patient, but believe me I have since January. Mr. ******* made me feel so inadequate today, and didn’t even pretend to act like he remotely cared. Instead all he was concerned about was pushing us off to someone else and letting us finish the work they were supposed to. He blames COVID, but we aren’t even waiting on any parts. The finishing guy said he would pickup a faucet. I have All the trim work Parts laying all over my house. And he needs sparkle for the ceiling. He said the cracks in the ceiling and the island is basically not their problem. Which I guess it why they aren’t in a big hurry to fix it. Why would they be? They have their money. While in the mean time I get told the world doesn’t revolve around me, that I am unhappy person (even though this is the first time I’ve spoke with him), and that he would glad to remove me from his schedule. I bet he would be seeing as how he has one guy to finish all of his trailers. I’m telling you guys I have been a store manager before, and customer service is important. This man OWNS this business and could care less. It was basically like talking to a brick wall. I said don’t you know word of mouth is important and if tell everyone not to use you then what? He said to go ahead. So I’m giving everyone a heads up to spend your money on your home where it is appreciated which is not ******** or Montys!
