If you would have asked me a month ago, I would their internet speed was great. We waited over a month for them to hook up our service. Maybe a year later one of the radios went out. We waited a full week for someone to come out. Less than two weeks later we are without internet again with NO eta. The truck has been in the shop since last Friday morning and they still cannot give us an eta. No internet for us is no TV, next to no phone or text capability, etc. Internet is a utility, not a luxury. Why cant they rent a truck? Nope, they cant do that. The service makes me want to leave and go to a company with worse signal, but at least they can service their customers.Review from Lacie S

I have had Wisper internet for 10+ years and their service and support within the last 2 months has been horrible. I cant use my internet at all. I can only connect 1 device to the Wi-Fi and even then the connection is very poor. I have called and asked for a tech to come out and check my connection and was told that a ticket was created for my account and someone would return my call its been 4 days and I havent gotten a call and no one has been out to my house. I have asked for a refund for the last bill that I paid because my revise hasnt worked since then and they tell me that I have an open ticket and I should be receiving a call back. Again no one has called. They are ignoring my request for a refund and ignoring my ongoing ticket Im horrified that Wisper has gotten this bad and are blatantly ignoring there customers!!!!Wisper ISP Response

I have been with Wisper for 20+years. Have really noticed how poor their co nection and service was since working from home for the past 2 years. Have had really poor connection for past 2 weeks and keep getting told it is 2 clients on the tower that are causing problems for me and others. Yet allows those two clients to continue to cause the disruption for weeks now. Most employees their seem to not worry about taking care of their clients, as no one ever can resolve an issue, it is always a "bandaid" they apply. If we had an option of other internet services, i would definitely be looking i to it.Wisper ISP Response

While it is difficult to quantify the monetary impact, the quality of service provided by Wisper Internet to my home over the past three years has been utterly unacceptable. Constant outages (at least one every other week) and time to resolve (without a premise tech visit) are BY FAR the absolute worst i have encountered compared to ANY other service provider, at any location I have lived that had residential internet; that list includes, ***** ********* *** ***** * *************. These claims may be seen as an opinion since i am not providing service outage notifications, e-mails with the business or other attached supporting documentation but please, DO NOT USE this company unless it is literally your only option...as it generally is since they prey on the underserved rural areas. Without government subsidies and funding programs, this company would have been out of business years ago. I just want to warn people who may be suckered in by their hollow A+ rating, which i realize isn't accredited, but still very misleading.Review from Christian R

Very fast internet speeds. Get a little over what I pay for. Seemingly some people have an issue with their service by the reviews I read, but in the area Im in the fiber internet provider seemingly is a lot worse than they are. This absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I cannot get any other kind of internet at my house so Im stuck with them. My internet works maybe half of the month. When they have to send out a service tech it can take WEEKS for them to get to you (which should tell you something). This places seriously needs to be investigated for their horrible business practices.Review from Jonathan R

I really don't even know where to start. We have a similar story to many of the others on here. We had a GREAT local company that never had any issues until it was bought by Wisper. Now, it is issue after issue. They claimed it was because there was a tree in our line of site so we hired someone to come cut a bunch of branches off and it got a little better. It CONSTANTLY goes down for 10 seconds at a time and comes back up. All day every day. Every time there is a storm it goes down for several hours. However, we are currently on DAY THREE of no internet because of a storm.When they first bought the local company we had HORRIBLE service for about six months because they claimed they were upgrading the network to build in redundancy so we'd never have outages. What a joke. Why are we on day three if there was redundancy?If you have ANY option other than Wisper, choose that option. They're just awful.Review from Derrick B

My family has lived in *************** for 17 years and had Wisper since they bought out the previous provider. In December of 2018 my wife began working from home and we needed more speed. We contacted Wisper and the manager at the time put us on a contract of 25/5 mbps which was faster and cost $125 per month on 1/28/19. On 2/20/22 I discovered the speed 25/5 mbps was being offered to everyone for $65 per month. For 3 years we were charged an extra $60. I contacted Wisper the following day and was told by two agents that that has been the price for over 7 years. They then transferred me to the current manager ****************** K who was not very interested in hearing my complaint. He was on the rude side even answering my questions with a simple "NO!" He wanted me to continue to pay the extra until the next billing cycle and then he would change the rate to normal! His reason for the extra charge was if there was an outage we would be first to get service. Not good enough for $60 extra! Then he said that pricing was only started 2 weeks ago yet did'nt offer a credit for that and insisted I pay the $125 coming due. He went on to say that was for NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY. I informed his that was nowhere in the advertisement. He responded, "We forgot to put that in!". Meanwhile I'm almost in tears and out of $2160 in over payments. Not to mention the humiliation I felt from the customer service from someone in a management position. Thanks for your time. *****************************Review from William A

We had Wisper after they bought out our previous internet company. At first we didn’t notice much difference but then we started to have problems. We did not get the speeds that we were paying for. They sent out a technician multiple times. It would work better for a short time then we would have problems again. Then they did upgrades on the tower and our signal became pretty much non exist most of the time. They finally sent out a next level technician and he basically told us it wasn’t going to get any better and we should think about switching to someone else. They did reduce our bill but we were still paying for services that we really didn’t get. We know several other people in our area that had Wisper and had the same issue. Wisper is aware of the problem in the area but does not seem to care to do anything to fix it. All they seem to want to do is branch out to other areas instead of taking care of their current customers. It makes me wonder if they are getting funding from state/federal government for bringing services to new areas but have no follow up on what the service is actually like or if it works. I would not recommend them.Review from Delores M

If you want fast, reliable, and great IT service then DO NOT....I REPEAT DO NOT GO WITH WISPER INTERNET SERVICE. I had **** *** and they sold out to wisper and our service has gone down hill form then on. Too many issues to list with this company. Not getting the speed I pay for so they lowered my plan and still not getting what I'm paying for. Started out paying for 25, they dropped me down to 15 and when I do a speed test I'm lucky if I get 5. When they finally do get back with me they always say "Well things look good on our end". Clearly they are not fine on my end. Never once have they offered to send out a technician to come and take a look at what's going on my end or with the tower or connection. I am constantly getting dropped and I have to reboot to get things working for about an hour before I have to reboot again. I call back and get the same answer. We are waiting on getting new equipment for the tower and will that will take about 4 to 6 weeks. I have to give one star to submit this complaint but this company deserves no stars. I never had any problems with **** ***, too bad they sold out to wisper.
