    We hired this company to do some work for us, we hired them in May. They did $6800 worth of H33343630**3038333835Hal work. They didn&#**;t start until July. I paid them over $1500 for materials. They had to put in a new panel and they said they would be finished in one day. They didn&#**;t return to complete the job until august 29th. Four days after the completion of the job, I went to use the dishwasher, and the dishwasher sounded like a jet engine then stopped dead. I went to buy a new dishwasher after the Labor Day weekend. When I tried using the old one, I ended up with water all over my kitchen, hardwood floor. When the new dishwasher was installed the technician said I had the wrong voltage coming into the dishwasher. H323435**313632323435H technician admitted they messed up. After that, they wouldn&#**;t take my calls. I finally reached them and they said they would pay for the new dishwasher if I provided the receipts. I provided them what they asked for. The secretary confirmed that they received them. The total was $865.00. So far I haven&#**;t received a refund from them. I have called them, but they haven&#**;t returned my calls.

    I called Votum to repair lamp which sits on my front lawn. I stated the light has not worked for several months. On 6/23/2023 an electrician came to my residence. Upon arrival he asked about the location of my fuse box. I directed him to the box and he asked about transformer. I told him that I had no idea where the transformer is located. The electrician spent 90 minutes searching for the transformer. I thought it was odd that the electrician did not bother to examine the lamp post first to see if it had power. After 90 minutes passed, I asked the electrician to stop looking for transformer and go look at the lamp. He assumed the lamp had no power. He did not explain how he came to the conclusion about the lack of power without first examining the lamp. Once he examined the lamp, I was informed that the replacement part for photocell was not available in his supply truck. Therefore, the fixture could not be repaired. I was charged $225.00. The next day I called the Votum office to voice my complaint to management. I explained the electrician did not bother to examine the lamp post first. Instead, he decided to search for transformer which was totally unnecessary. The manager promised to speak with the electrician and stated that he would call me the next day. As of today, I never received a response from management. Since then, I called a reputable electrician. The lamp needed a new kit and is now in working order. The transformer was not the issue. Votum sent an electrician who was totally inexperienced. In addition, the company did not ask about the specifics of the lamp during my initial call to schedule an appointment. I will never use Votum Electric again. What a ripoff!!!
