I worked with ******* on the purchase of a truck. He provided all the information through text and e-mail about the truck I wanted to buy. It was a friendly and honest transaction. They provided excellent customer service and were responsive to all my questions. ******* went above and beyond.Review from Nick M

Bought a 2017 Ram **** 4x4 6.7 with this dealer back in november of 23. The very next day after getting the truck home, my TBS light and ABS light came on and disabled my 4x4, and my cruise control. Called up the salesman ******* and he said to bring the truck back in. Brought it in at their soonest appointment, and they had the truck for three weeks. They replaced my brake calipers and turns out the turbo was failing also so they replaced that with a REMAN. Made a review on ****** and the owner saw it. I stated that they did NOT work on the entire list of issues I stated the truck had. The owner **** told *********** to contact me which he did. He said bring the truck back in and they will make this right for me. I brought it in and it sat for a WEEK. I had to call the service center myself to see what the update was. The service technician said that he was getting together my quote for the repairs and I should know by Friday, I called them on a Wednesday. On Thursday of the same week, I went up there because this should have been covered under my 30-day BUMPER TO BUMPER warranty. Well, they said it's not a warranty and that I have to pay 50% of the repair bills. They lied about their warranty. They WILL NOT ANSWER YOUR CALLS IF YOU TRY TO GET AHOLD OF SOMEONE. They will decline the call or promise to contact you, which they never will. So I bought a 4x4 truck with no 4x4 because it does not even work. This place is a scam and should be shut down. They sell you auction vehicles that are not even inspected. The day after purchasing the truck, the brakes were extremely loud. I took off the driver-side front caliper AND THE CALIPER ****** FELL ON THE GROUND THE MOMENT I TOOK THE CALIPER OFF. EXTREMELY dangerous to sell a vehicle with brake calipers that are deteriorated and failing. I am missing out on lots of info, but because of the limit on characters I cannot fit them all in this review. AVOID THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!Review from Jacob W

**** was very good at helping me and my wife find a vehicle that we liked a lot . The passenger side seat motor to move the seat up and down forward and backward did not work . **** said no problem they would replace the seat, no problem. He even wrote a work order and gave me a copy. My bank had pre-approved my loan, so ****** just had to fill out his paperwork and easy sale. he also said that the vehicle had passed state inspection and was done by their automotive shop .he also sold me a warranty for. $ 5.000 and said it covered everything with the no cost out of my pocket. On the way home, the brakes started getting bad and stopped working almost completely. They towed it back to mountain top motors. The front passenger side brake caliper had to be replaced. (But they said vehicle passed inspection. ) When they picked up the vehicle, they said my seat was at their shop and would be installed also. The seat they put in still does not work properly it also has preasure indentations from something sitting on it in spots. Now the automotive department said they paid $700.00 for a brand new seat and they were not replaceing it again . It still doesn't work properly it works forward and backward but still does not go up and down. The engine had a a misfire which I told **** about it he sent me to there shop in Moscow mills, they said it would be $240.00 to change the spark plugs and that the warranty did not cover it.so much for there warranty. I changed the warranty to the one from the bank $ 3000.00 less. I am getting my vehicle reinspected and will also be reporting them to the missouri Department of Transportation because of the brakes. They could have killed us. BE VERY CAREFUL BUYING A CAR FROM THEM!!! . My advice is to have any vehicle you get at Mountain top motors in Troy Mo. Inspected somewhere with better and more reliable mechanics, and also make sure anything that needs to be fixed is done before it leaves the lot . DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!Review from Brandon H

Purchased a 2011 f350 from these folks back in July 2022. Sales was great and I didn’t feel that typical pressure to buy what so ever. In fact I was very eager to buy I had been looking for this exact truck for forever. Was very happy with that experience, however the truck had a few issues that needed to be addressed and I was assured they would be. The salesman printed me off a copy of the list and everything. Took it to the shop and hear is where things go sideways.. truck had an oil leak and a few front end problems to be addressed the front in got fixed but apparently the wet frame rails weren’t enough oil to be considered a leak.. they had it for 4 days and said if it starts getting on the driveway bring it back and we will address it. So a few weeks later it did. Brought it back and was told by the service manager ( who is one shady ****** ******) it’s your upper oil pan. I said ok great will it be taken care of yes absolutely it’ll be a few days( bc anything diesel takes forever) no prob. Got it back after another 4 days all is well(except they in fact didn’t do any of that) instead they replaced my lower pan. I take it to ford this month to diagnose a leak come to find out my upper pan was never pulled from the looks of it and these “professional mechanics” siliconed the shit out of all the outer edges of the transmission seal and pans now myself and ford are dealing with the extended pwr train warranty they sold me that should cover all of that but apparently maybe not. Sure would be nice if the GM of this place would make this right before legal action may be taken.. this is very disappointing and cannot believe someone would be ok with this kind of service and reputation…Review from Ryan S

First, let me start by saying I am an *****. Don't be one as well and do business with mountain top. I bought 2 vehicles from them and day 1 of the first purchase should have been enough to maybe make me think, the sales *************** really is no different than any other used car salesman and don't do further business with them. So first I purchased a Yukon for my wife. Drove it maybe 25 miles and it locked itself intro neutral and would not engage any other gear. 300 miles later a major oil leak happens and after taking it to their shop and having their "professionals" fix a gasket and something with the Transmission, they had to negotiate with the warranty company they provide us with, since what they said the cause was turned out to be not covered, and 3 weeks later there's still a serious leak. The reps at that shop gave my pregnant wife attitude when she brought it back in saying there is still a leak. I was out of town and not happy since I know, what I saw on my garage floor is excessive for "residual" causes. The 2nd purchase I now feel, looking back at it I was technically shown a high pressure sales tactic, they had someone else very interested and needed money down to hold it. Yet they still hadn't "finished what they needed to do it" nor had they detailed it. There were still beer cans and beer cases in the bed of the truck, trash and hydrocodone pill bottles in the cab. I haven't put 100 miles on this GMC truck since I purchased it and already there's $1500 in fixes needed that conveniently are not covered under their "top of the line" warranty. Transmission is leaking supposedly and causing damages to wiring harnesses that the say will take 8 hours to fix. After $10k and 2 dependable vehicles traded in for money pits. I have had enough of their business. Has been nothing but a headache, both vehicles have been in the shop as much as in my driveway. HIGHLY SUGGEST TO ANYONE READING THIS, GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. This place of business is a scam.Review from Hanna C

THEY LIE ABOUT CAR FAX. I don't even know where to start. March of 2021 I walked onto the lot, seeing a smiling face of a old friend. Not sure about what I wanted I test drove a jeep and was ready to make a deal. While I was waiting I discovered another Jeep on the lot I didn't see. ******* my trusting salesman asked if I wanted to take a look at that one instead. It was more of what I wanted and in my price range. He told me he had drove it a couple times and it was a great jeep. While switching paper work over, I asked him about car fax he already had it pulled up on the computer. He turned it to allow me and my step dad to see. Zero issues no accidents reported. When we asked for a copy I was told I had to pay extra for that. Trusting my old friend I said, no need (because I just viewed it with my own eyes. Bought the jeep after a couple days of driving it. I felt it wasn't right the steering was loose and I felt I could barely keep it on the road. They tried telling me it was due to being lifted and big tires, that I wasn't use to it. I insured them not the case. Keep in mind I was talked into paying cash for a cheaper deal on a warranty. $3,000. So didn't fear it would be taken care of I took it into a shop. Found issues of new shocks needed and sway bar. Mountain top said they would take care of this sense it was after market and warranty wouldn't cover. They put the shittiest parts on that I had to replace myself later on. Long story short warranty still wont touch any issue with the jeep. Because it has been modified in ways. But ******* did not explain to me the detail in that if a modified part simply touched the broken part or makes it function it voided the warranty. They never made it convenient for me or gave me a loaner when it went in their shop numerous times. The radio worked because they had satellite radio hooked up to it, but when that expired I found out the normally radio had never worked. The jeep leaks water found out after the first rain. When I told them I thought there was to much noise coming from the right driver door , they said all jeeps are loud with wind due to top coming off. Not the case it was due to light bar cord being in way so door doesn't close. Now that I'm trying to sell the jeep out right I pull car fax of my own and find out that indeed the car was in a major accident in 2012, has had 5 owners. This place is a joke I could go on about other issues just don't trust the smiling faces. I guess all salesman are the same.Review from Crystal H

Buyer Beware! If I could leave negative stars I would. They are very difficult to work with, and have extremely poor communication skills. I would never trust them with my business again. My husband and I purchased a truck that we were told was “mechanically sound”. It test drove wonderfully and passed inspection, but blew a head gasket less than 12 hours after we brought it home, which caused several thousand dollars worth of damage. The dealership that they had us take it to said that there was no way they didn't know about the engine issue before we purchased it because of all of the damage. We then spent over a month trying to either get our money back or get a different vehicle from them. We caught them in multiple lies, and felt our time was completely wasted. They did end up selling us a different truck, and buying the original vehicle back, but we had to fight tooth and nail to get anything accomplished. They made excuse after excuse, and put us through the ringer.
