My complaint is directly regarding the billing person at this office. Instead of doing their job and checking my insurance coverage and providing the correct amount I would owe after insurance they provided a quote that was 3 times lower to which I agreed and paid for prior to receiving the treatment. I was not informed prior to scheduling my first appointment nor during the discussion of the treatment plan and cost discussion that my insurance was out of network with their office. I asked them several time if the payment I was making was after my insurance (because I found it a little steep but due to the amount of pain I was in I agreed and paid in advance). I was only informed of being out of network when my insurance company sent the payments to me instead of them. I am a very responsible person and pay my bills on time to maintain my 750 credit score then you run into a lazy incompetent person like this biller who wants to act like I'm not trying to pay my bill, that just burns me up. Medical offices always inform me when I'm receiving an out of network service, what would it have hurt them to be transparent upfront and advise of that fact especially when I asked several times prior to receiving treatment. And after researching on line about dental complaints it seems that disciplinary actions are rarely enforced against them (which is a very sad fact). I want to be clear that this review is nothing against the dentist or the assistant, (whom I was extremely pleased with) it is definitely directed towards the incompetent office staff and to bring awareness to these shady, unethical, undermining tactics that are occurring. This bad apple definitely spoiled the entire bunch for me. Beware! I am so sick of normalizing dishonest borderline scammer behaviors!
