Unacceptable service provided by this service department is costing money stress and days from work. The vehicle, a 2016 Durango, (under *************************) has experienced a persistent misfire on acceleration. During two separate visits this misfire has been the primary complaint. Despite these critical issues, the service department has prioritized less significant concerns, and there has been a complete lack of clear communication. The service employees have displayed rudeness and unprofessionalism both in person and over the telephone, exacerbating the already frustrating situation. Despite numerous attempts to obtain information about the status of my vehicle, the manager has refused to return my calls, leaving me in the dark about the ongoing repairs. And causing me to miss work.I have already incurred expenses totaling almost $1200.00, and with an anticipated cost of up to $600.00 for the current visit, I find it unacceptable that the original and more serious misfire issue remains unaddressed. This situation has caused undue stress and financial burden, and I urge the BBB to investigate and mediate this matter promptly.

I believe that Chapman says one thing and does another. You can never find out what the bottom line charge is because they are constantly adding things on. My friend went it to get a starter and water pump and 2 weeks later they said his engine was blown due to water getting in the engine and throwing a rod. Really? Maybe if he drove into Lake Mead. Then service proceeds to tell him that coolant got into his engine. HOW? This car is not even old and has less than 60k miles on it. So the starter, water pump and engine all went south on a car with 60k miles, a Jeep. I have never heard such nonsense before and get this, the amount they want to charge after already paying $2,400 for the other fixes... $11,000. He might as well buy another car. $14,400 for what was initially a starter issue, plus towing it twice. How do they get away with this? For all we know, the car still runs. It's obvious we are not getting much truth from this department or manager. By the way, it took a few week before I got my car back the last time, if they did the work it would probably take 2 months. They do not care about their customers one bit. They are there just to extract money from people and you get nothing in return but grief. I cannot believe that a business is run this way, I feel so cheap for them.

Jackie , we understand your frustration and why you and your friend would be skeptical , but we can explain the details of why it happened this way. On the original visit the vehicle was brought in with the starter not operating, a check engine light on with a misfire code, and a leaking water pump. We replaced the starter, this repair is not in question because after replacing the starter, the vehicle starts and your friend drove it out. The misfire code needed to be diagnosed but this was declined. The water pump is was visually leaking and we provided a picture of this leak so this repair also cant be questioned. After taking the vehicle home and at a later date the engine again wouldn't start and we towed it back. The cause was the engine hydro locked, this would be a result of driving the vehicle with a leaking water pump and at some point the vehicle overheated, causing a head gasket failure and that is how coolant gets into the engine. On the original visit there was no mention of the vehicle overheating so we did not know to look for that, we would have found this out if the diagnosis for the misfire code was approved. While we understand how you feel, it is not fair to blame us for the vehicle failures. That being said, I will have our service manager reach back out to your friend and see if we can offer some assistance in the cost of repairs.
