Contracted to have 6 large windows installed. On installation day it was discovered 2 windows were mismeasured. It's worth noting the young man that measured wrong is no longer with WW so benefit of the doubt given. Despite the clear mismeasure the manager came out to the house and tried to convince us they were right. (Shockingly rude, he was asked to leave) After speaking with the owner they agreed they were wrong. So again, benefit of the doubt given. Maybe the manager was having a bad day. Finally the new windows came in and 1 of the screens was wrong. Again a reorder. Less benefit given now. ****** later the screen shows up and it's off by 2 inches. If you are a window company I feel like measuring length and width is a pretty necessary skill. For the cost they should have been right the first time.On the up side the installer was wonderful, promote that guy, he can use a tape measure.Regarding the reply, even if this was the case with the windows it should have been VERY clearly explained at the time of measure, which it wasn't. Secondly I think most people would agree that keeping the cladding from old wood frame windows to mount vinyl in front of them is absurd. Also worth noting the installer stopped work because he was uncomfortable with the wacky wood and vinyl install idea.Just so other folks understand I had Pella wood framed windows. WW wanted to only remove the functional part of the windows and leave the old wooden frames. This would have reduced the size of the window by 4 inches, who would do that. Nobody replaces windows to keep the old frames and reduce the size by 4 inches. Nobody.Edit 2 6/8/23 - The third replacement screen is again wrong. We are now reordering AGAIN. You really, really do not want to use this company.Edit 3 7/31/23 - I still have not received my 4th try at a replacement screen. At this point its nearly comical how horrendous this business is. Mosquito time in *** 12,000$ in windows that I can't open. Incredible.

******************, We apologize for your displeasure with our company. After reviewing your folder, we do see that you had 2 different types of windows that we were replacing in your home. 4 existing units being vinyl (with about a 3 thick frame) and the 2 existing units - that I believe you are speaking about were aluminum clad wood windows (with about a 5 frame). These different styles of windows often require different ways of installing the new products. Our standard practice with aluminum clad wood windows is to leave the frame in place and do a retro fit installation (Meaning to install the new unit inside the existing window frame.) This practice is done to make sure that the final look of the installation is much more appealing as to not having to do a lot of fill in to accommodate where the old wider frame was. It also allows us to seal the new unit much better with the exterior capping, especially in a stucco applied home. From the notes I see in your folder, you did not agree with leaving the frames in the opening and applying ************* installation and 2 new windows were ordered to accommodate taking out the original frames and were installed. With the screen issue I do see the mishap that happened here in the office, and it was ordered off the original order. This will be addressed with our staff. We do apologize and we will make sure to get this corrected for you as quickly as possible. EDIT: Again, we apologize as our Field Manager thought he communicated in enough detail to explain the difference between a "replacement" installation and a "retro fit" installation. While we agree with you that a retro fit installation (typically referred to as jumping the frame) looses quite a bit of viewable area, it is a common AAMA installation practice and, in some states, like **********, it is required by code. Luckily in Colorado we have the options for both installation types and will utilize one or the other depending on which is better suited for

Window World - Buyer Beware! This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with any contractor coming into my home. They trashed my home! Instead of removing the basement windows and middle level windows from the outside, they decided to drag the old windows through my home and all of the dirt that came with them. Absolutely no excuse for this kind of unprofessionalism. Not one installer showed me how to operate the windows, asked me to do a walk around, inside and out, to look over the install. They did not clean any of the messes that they made or the windows. Every single window is covered in dirt, grass and fingerprints. They walked through the dirt, glass and nails and were grinding this mess into my carpeting. My sliding doors have rings from the suction cup that was used for lifting the glass. They broke a vase and an outdoor light bulb on my string light and did not tell me. The lead installer ***, reeked of alcohol and as if all of that were not bad enough, when they installed my three pane sliding door, there was approximately a 3-4 inch gap between the framing for the slider and the wall. The screws that went through the frame did not reach the spacers of wood placed between the door frame and the wall. I had a home builder friend and contractor come to my home to look at the work that was being done. They were both concerned about the distance between the door frame and the wall said I will most likely have issues once the summer heat hits the back of my home and how the expansion and contraction of the materials might cause the framing to bow. They also could not believe the mess that the window installers had made of my home and that they did not use the tarp or use plastic coverings to protect my flooring and furniture. The installers also did not tack down the carpet that had to be cut for the new sliding door frame. This now has to be stretched and tacked down by a contractor! This is unacceptable! Do not use this company...

***************** contracted her window and door replacement with us on April 19, 2021. With the delays in manufacturing, shipping, as well a labor shortage our relationship with our customer started to deteriorate before the installation. *****************, at first, was upset with us because we were calling her contractor and not herself, however the only phone number we had on file was the number we were calling for updates, which would have been given to us by our customer. When ***************** would call into the office she would not give us her direct line. She was verbally abusive to our receptionist while trying to keep her updated on the shipping delays, to the point of calling her a liar on 12/21/21. On 12/22/21 I myself (Office/Installation Manager) spoke to ***************** and she was upset that she could not cancel her contract. I let her know that it was a custom order and with custom orders there are 3 day recission rights and that we were at the point of just waiting on her windows and patio door to arrive to our warehouse from the manufacturer. She also called me a liar and threatened a lawsuit. This same day she reached out to our sales rep and when he called back her number (that we now could put on file) she would not answer but responded to text. In her multiple angry texts she is also calling her sales rep a liar, and letting him know she was preparing a BBB review before her windows were even in our warehouse. She was also refusing to let our installers out to install her product that she is contracted for. On 1/21/22 I scheduled ***************** to have her windows and patio door installed on 2/1/2022. I received a contact submission form via email on 2/9/2022 (over a week later) about the above concerns. I immediately reached out to ***************** and left a message letting her know I needed to get with my install crew to address these concerns and get their feedback as well. I spoke with ***************** this morning 2/10/2022 and scheduled a time for our Field Manager to go down and take a look at the patio door she has concerns about on 2/17/2022 because it was ordered at a custom size to fit her opening. We will also take a piece of quarter round to put where the carpet meets the patio door to solve that issue. Windows being removed from the interior, as well as being installed from the interior, is a standard practice in window replacement depending on the construction site. Our installers use drop clothes. During the process of scheduling the installation I let the customers know how to prepare for their installation and also send a preparation email (see attachment) to let them know about removing any items of value out of the installation area, as Window World nor the Installers will be held responsible for damages. The back of our contract also states to expect some dust, it is also stated that we do not clean windows. In my opinion this review is a retaliation review for not allowing ***************** out of her custom order contract. In our phone call she does admit she did not see the vase get broken or outdoor light bulb, and I am not sure if she is having other contractors work at her home since she has mentioned her contractor multiple times? The fact that she posted this review before even allowing us the opportunity to address her concerns or even speaking with us is concerning. Not to mention a week has gone by since her installation with no communication about these issues.

Bait-and-switch. In September 2020 we ordered doors through window world. The salesman asked us if we needed financing, but we declined as we already had our own (preferred) bank lined up for financing. But then the salesman stated that they have an interest free loan, if paid off in one year. We planned on paying within a years time frame, so we went with the interest free loan. (Who wouldn't?) I was approved during the meeting and had to sign documents. I was given a credit card document to sign- the salesman said there will be a credit card given with the loan. He stated to not use, as the interest is high, that comes with the loan. But you cannot cancel the card until after the loan is paid off. So, I trusted the salesman and signed for the card I had no intent on using because it was "part of the package". Fast forward 9 months later, when the doors are installed (delayed due to COVID, no complaint there). And this credit card was charged for the door installation, with the interest- there was no interest free loan. I never gave authorization for charges on the credit card, and I now see why I wasn't supposed to cancel the card. The card was getting charged all along, there was no "interest free loan". I contacted Window World (Heather). She stated there is nothing to be done, as I signed the credit card documents (under false pretenses). They also kept trying to change the subject an explain why there was an extra charge- something i didn't ask about nor was I even concerned about- likely in order to change the subject. Window Worlds reaction seemed as though they've had to deal with this before. When my husband talked to Heather he asked why someone would take an interest payment over interest free- her answer was some clients prefer to have interest. (This is a non-sense answer) Their pitch for an interest free loan is a classic bate and switch. WW had no interest in rectifying the situation. Whether on purpose or by mistake, the fact that this happened should be concerning to Window World, but it wasn't a concern to the local staff. Nor was there any concern that their sales staff conducts this type of operation, so I have no choice but to report this so that it doesn't happen to a future customer. The "interest free loan" is still advertised on their website. Additionally, I am in contact with a local investigative journalist regarding what transpired.

Hello Kristi, Yes, we have multiple financing options for our customers to choose from, and many of our customers choose a wide range of our different financing options due their financial situations at the times. The financing option that you signed up for is clearly stated on the Financing Agreement (that was digitally signed by yourself on 08/20/2020), which clearly explains in the Cardholder Terms that the option is for a Special Rate of 6.99% APR with 48 equal monthly payments. The financing was submitted on May 3rd 2021 after your product was installed. By law we have to submit to the financing company the plan that YOU signed for at the time of purchase. Had you communicated to our office that this was not the plan you had intended to use, either before the financing was submitted or before the first payment was due, we could have cancelled the original financing contract and had you sign a new financing agreement with the 0% financing terms. However, we were not contacted by you until September 2nd of this year (4 months after the financing was submitted). Payments would have already been due to Wells Fargo, so unfortunately it is too late to change the terms. You had also mentioned on the phone, as well as in an email, that you were not paying attention and did not read the documents thoroughly that you were signing. As far as the procedures that were performed by myself and my office staff, we went off the paperwork that was provided and signed for by yourself and again, required by law to submit.
