Severy Creek Roofing replaced our hail damaged roof back in late 2018. They completed the work in a decent amount of time. However, right from the beginning there were very poor communication and scheduling issues. Even though it was very clearly discussed up front they didn't work with us on allowing the facia repairs and painting we had scheduled to be completed first. It was agreed that this could be done right after the hail damaged roof tear off. Before we could even begin the planned work they came in unannounced and ram rodded the job making the facia work impossible to complete. Issue #2 was that both the new skylights they installed leaked. They did come back out to fix them on at least two occasions. However, during very heavy, driving rains were still getting some water intrusion coming in from one of them. The most pressing, unresolved problem is since the new roof was installed there has been a very strong tar or asphalt smell that permeates into our house during hot weather. It has become progressively worse with time. If you go inside the attic the smell is even worse. We contacted the owner more than seven months ago about this. He was supposed to come look at it, but to date he has not made any effort to come inspect it. I have emailed him numerous times to get in his schedule and was told he would come out to look at it. But now he wont even respond to our emails or phone calls. The smell has become very overwhelming and is making us sick. We are about to hire another roofing company to come determine what needs to be done. If a tear off and replacement of the Severy Creek Roofing installed roof is required you can bet there will be a lawsuit. Be very cautious of using Severy Creek Roofing. Better yet maybe you should save yourself the trouble and hire another company.
