I took my car to Mikens on Sept. 21, 2022 to check a noise in the front suspension. They advised that the car needed new front struts. I paid them a. $700 deposit and agreed to the suggested repairs. When I took the car in, it drove perfectly straight (no "pull" to left or right). My only complaint was noise. After taking a week to "complete" the repairs, I picked the car up on. Sept. 29, and paid the remaining balance for a total repair cost of $1,642.32. I IMMEDIATELY noticed a distinct "pull" to the right when driving the car. The car still has a noticeable sound when driving across bumps, speed bumps, etc. I have returned to their shop TWICE since the to try and resolve the problem. The first trip, I got excuses (new coil springs causing it to pull) and an offer to tweak the alignment which would cause excessive tire wear.On my second return, the suggested remedy was to replace the forward control arms for an additional charge of $1,027.83. Another local mechanic (at an additional $150 expense) has since corrected the alignment, fixing the steering problem. The other shop assures me that the forward control arms are fine. The "clunky" noise in the front end remains. I am not requesting that Mikens repair the car, because my two return trips to their shop were a waste of my time. I have no confidence in their ability to correctly fix my car.
