      I feel they were trying to scam a women that lives alone. I made an appointment to have my dryer cleaned of lint. No sooner than these two men enter my house they looked up at the air conditioner vent and said you have mildew or mold in your attic and wanted to go ** in my attic and offered me a great deal on sale for only$545.00 to sanitize my attic.I asked what about my dryer but they continued to talk about my attic. Finally I called my neighbour to come and see what this great deal was all about.we both agreed a scam. I told these two just do my dryer and they still went on about the attic. Finally I said do the dryer and leave.or leave and behold I had a crack in the wall Another scam Finally we got rid of them and left.

      I have not written before but last year Imperial came to us with a special deal for our organization/community of $50 to clean our drier vent. They immediately said everything regarding the vent was done wrong and that there should be a cage on my roof so no critters could get in. Long story short $700 later they left my house. It was a 2 man team that was at my house less than 30 minutes. A Total Scam.They also recommended a company to work cleaning/repairing my gutters and quoted me $700 also. The guy then said he quoted me too low. It was so evident that they worked together. I told him no thank you.Never Use Imperial.

      First, their two young technicians entered my 83-year-old mother's home with NO MASKS ON! So they're going from house to house possibly spreading COVID. The technicians were also rude and pushy, insisting that the $69 vent cleaning would now be about $200 because the (6-month-old) dryer installed by Best Buy was a fire hazard. They tried telling me that Best Buy used the wrong parts for the installation. I told them no thank you because the installation was under warranty and we would have Best Buy come back. That's when the rudeness began, and then they did the fastest vent cleaning I have ever seen. The final words were another warning not to use the new dryer until all the work they wanted to do was done. So Best Buy came back and was able to prove to me that Imperial had not even properly cleaned the vent. And the Best Buy technician said the fire hazard warning was ridiculous. He recommended a $10 flex tube for a better connection. Their final report said "dryer vent needs cleaning." My mother disputed the credit card charge and Imperial agreed to come back. I called to tell them we did not want the same crew coming back because they lied, were rude, didn't do the job properly and did not wear masks. The lady I spoke with said that was the only crew they had! She was argumentative too, so we cancelled the appointment. I wasn't going to argue with the same rude technicians about whether they did their job properly -- as if they would admit any error! Very sad because we had used imperial befores, but never again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will offer you a great deal on a vent cleaning, and once they're in your home, they'll lie and pressure you into buying a bunch of stuff you don't need. The fact that their technicians don't even wear masks in people's houses tells you a lot about their attitude and sense of responsibility to their customers.

      My men ALWAYS wear masks even when customers tell us we don't need to! This job was thoroughly explained to the customer. As the son said. His mom is 83 years old. So he probably should be called before his mom has anyone in the home to do work. With that said we did a perfect job. The explanation to the customer @ Best Buy was 100 percent accurate. They sell and or sometimes give the parts for the hook up. What they supply is different than what we do. We explained it thoroughly. Than the son called. And gave a completely different story than what we told his mom. He started to become upset, rather than have an unnecessary argument and a dissatisfied customer I credited the 200 on MY own. Way before dispute. And also the story that I got from the son is completely inaccurate He probably did feel like someone took advantage of his mom. But that's the furthest thing from the fact. At the end of the day The customer got everything for free. It's certainly not fair either. But these things happen. It's the cost of owning a business! Again if there was a forum Business owners could complain @ customers I think I'm the one that would have the valid complaint. Basically by the time the son told me what his mom told him what my guy told her. It was just completely convoluted. I do not want any money for the job. And do not want to pursue anything. And I will not do work for this customer again. And we have been there previously as well

      The response from this business is not just incorrect, it's ***********

      I am "the son" and I was there when the Imperial techs came. First, they were not wearing masks. Why would a customer lie about that when people are dying of COVID?

      Nothing about this incident was third hand information. The details were not passed from their techs, to an 83-year-old woman, and then back to their customer service rep by me. I was there talking to the techs myself! So, this whole response is based on a lie.

      Look at the reviews for this company on Yelp and other sites and you will see this bait and switch is a common pattern for Imperial.

      Either the techs lied to whoever wrote this response to my complaint, or the person who wrote the response is lying. Whatever the case, the depth of this lie is truly shocking and is a lessen to all to not let bogus contractors take advantage of you. And make sure they wear masks too It's the best defense there is to stop the spread of COVID!

      Listen. I'm not going back and forth. The man who was there happens to be a black
      An. He wears a black collar that u pull up around the face. He always wears it. I can have every customer I went to that day and I guarantee that every one of them will agree that the man wore a mask. No one is lying If there was such a concern than why wasn't anything said to the tech. The job was done at no charge. And this is ridiculous. Why would an 83 year old woman who's son was there when we were complain @ the job and masks not being worn after the fact ??

      After rereading the sons response. I would like to say that there were 2-3 other people that had used the name imperial services that had nothing to do with me. My record is with the bbb which I feel stands for itself at this point I'm truly at a loss for words as I don't know what the purpose of the complaint is. A bait and switch is when a company offers to do a job a specific price then tries to switch the price. I came and did the job as quoted $69 never tried to switch the price. You were told some that was needed in addition to my $69 cleaning. You did not have to have us do it. We explained %100 percent the facts as to why an exhaust kit from us is different than what you were going to have had done by the company who you purchased the new machine from. Certainty NOT a bait and switch. Not even an upsell !!! A recommendation. I honestly believe that if you were upset @ claiming masks were not worn,your mom was being "bait and switched". Based on the lengths you have gone to make an issue @ it even after getting the job for free. I think your the type of person who would have said something to the tech at some point. And certainly not have allowed him to do what we recommend, and have mentioned not wearing a mask. We still all emerge masks every day. Even when we are told to remove them we don't.

      I had an issue with our service and contacted management. The issue was professionally and quickly corrected. Imperial Services backs their high concern for customer satisfaction.
