This company gives you 1 month to cancel after taking your money. Unfortunately, my spouse had a major stroke and I called to cancel 5 months later, after the realization he is now homebound and unable to travel. The *** chose to try to educate me on how he had family members with strokes and he could extend the date for another year to give time for recovery. He has no idea the extent of my husbands stroke and that he is not the same person nor able to every drive again. After stating this, I was instructed that I would be sent form to "gift" this stay to someone. That's exactly what we need to do right now, when we've been reduced to one income. He also suggested I could "sell" it to someone. Why would I want to get someone else involved with a greedy company like this who cares more about money than the customer? We are writing this review because Bluegreen Vacations has not only taken advantage of us, but the service they provide and some of the salespeople that we have dealt with have treated us horribly. Every time we attended one of their mandatory owners meetings, they always kept us their way longer than promised, not even caring about us having to get back with our kids. Each meeting we attended we had to endure high pressure sales and even after declining their offers, they would continue to pour on the pressure until we agreed to sign a new contract. After attending many of these owners meetings, we finally were able to stick to our guns and not agree to any upgrades or buy more points, but thats when we had to deal with the rude and angry salesman who even had the nerve to RUDELY ask us to leave. That salesman even went as far as adding to our file that WE were extremely rude, hostile, and uncooperative because we didnt agree to purchase what they were selling. They did manage to get us one more time when they sold us on the idea of buying ****** points that led us to believe that we would be able to go to the Daytona 500 every year. Of course, this never came to fruition. I wish that we never entered this relationship with Bluegreen vacations. They sold us lies and misrepresentations. I dont know how they continue to get away with the sales tactics that they use on hard working people like us. If you read all the other reviews, you will see that we all have similar stories of being lied to, broken promises, and in the end we all felt scammed. If you're considering using this business for your travel needs or thinking about purchasing a timeshare, think again. My family has owned a timeshare with bluegreen for almost 20 years so believe us when we tell you to RUN! We have barely used it. Why? Every time we try to book, we have a barrage of obstacles. But the real nightmare begins when you attend their mandatory meetings. Each time, we were promised it would only take an hour, yet they consistently held us captive for over three hours, pushing us relentlessly to upgrade our package. This meant missing out on valuable family time, as they callously ignored our concerns about childcare and hungry children waiting nearby. What's worse, they conveniently forgot to mention that maintenance fees would skyrocket or that they would never stop increasing. Each meeting revealed new hidden costs and obligations, leaving no room for any trust we had left in their promises. Their Choice Privileges program was supposed to offer flexibility, allowing us to convert points for travel rewards but they lied. The conversion rates were abysmal, leaving us short of points. They touted the ability to stay at top-tier locations like Disney resorts or even use points for flights but the truth is there are never enough points for a decent stay. Promises of personalized service and dedicated contacts to address our concerns were empty gestures. We never received the support we were assured of. You are lured in and trapped by cycles of upgrades, fees, and unfulfilled promises. If you value your time, money, and sanity, please please please RUN. Book vacations independently and save yourself from the clutches of these scam artists. ****! Misleading, took advantage of a retired disabled veteran and denied gifts promised. Paid more for the "vacation" through bluegreen vacations then I would have if I booked on my own. Almost left stranded. Took 10 hours drive to get to hotel that was not great. No fridge for medications. Not accessible like said to be. No microwave to work food. am filing a complaint against the timeshare company BlueGreen regarding their misleading and unprofessional practices. I am seeking to cancel my timeshare. After my conversation with ******, I was informed that I can make the payment of 18 months of maintenance fees and be put in for review of cancelation. I am requesting to speak with another representative that can confirm if I pay this fee they will actually cancel my timeshare completely. I've trusted this company once and blindly given them thousands of dollars so before I pay anymore fees I want confirmation. I do not feel like I am asking for much. I’d give 0 stars if I could! I bought this in 2011 to travel to Panama City from a salesman that told me they had a condos there and there’d be no problem. But I’ve tried to go for 13 years and I yet to go through Bluegreen, even trying to book 11-12 months out! I’m so done with this company!Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc. Response

****. When I purchased the package, I was told these were high-rated, high-quality resorts and hotels we could stay in at a discount. After logging in, I saw both Smoky Mountain lodging options are low-rated places with cockroaches in their reviews. These are: *Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Pigeon Forge South, TN *Laurel Crest Even though I had not booked these properties, Bluegreen sent me an email saying one of them was booked. When I called, their customer service was apathetic and said there was a $99 fee to cancel. I told them I'm not paying that and if I'm charged for it, I would mark it as fraudulent with my credit card company. She then said she would waive the fee but she wouldn't commit to sending me an email confirm ing it "until management is contacted" by her. She then promptly hung up on me. I want to express my utter frustration and disappointment with the way we have been treated by Bluegreen Vacations and Hilton properties. Despite clear communication regarding our current situation, they continue to demonstrate a lack of understanding and concern for our health and financial issues. The challenges we are facing are not mere inconveniences, but rather real and life-altering circumstances that have completely reshaped our ability to utilize services such as those they offer. It is perplexing to see that the empathy extended in words is not mirrored in action. Instead, you continue to ask for more money to release us from our contract, which only exacerbates the stress and burden we are already carrying. We are not in a position to consider traveling anytime soon, and we have communicated this to their companies with sufficient detail. Yet, they persist in treating our situation with standard rigidity, without taking into account the gravity of the challenges we are facing. As owners, we deserve better treatment. We are tired of the runaround and lack of progress in resolving this matter and being taken advantage of. We just want out of this situation.Review from Vernon H

I am writing this review to warn others about Bluegreen Vacations. To start, don’t accept any invitations to go to a presentation for a free or discount trip. It’s a trap. Unfortunately, no one warned me. This nightmare started when we attended a presentation in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Upon checking in, a sales rep named Bobby saw me looking at the monitors showing pictures of families on vacations. He asked questions about my vacation habits. He followed up by claiming Bluegreen would be able to provide everything I was interested in. I was skeptical, but he insisted that he wasn’t selling a timeshare but rather a membership to a vacation program. Bobby explained that I could use my membership to procure two airline tickets and two vacation cruises if I signed up today. When I agreed, I was taken to a different room to go over paperwork. I was rushed through this process, and I was never told that I would have a few days to cancel my contract without penalty. I was extremely pressured into signing up for this, and if I was given adequate time to think everything over and if Bobby was honest about things, I would never have signed any agreement with Bluegreen. Fast forward to our 2nd meeting when they got me to upgrade. Again, they poured on the pressure, and said that I would receive many more benefits, but I would have to sign up that day. I also explained the issue I had with the cruises and airline tickets. They explained that last time they made a mistake, but this time I would certainly receive them. David Young told me that if I purchased a second timeshare and combined it with my first, I could reduce my payments and interest rate. I decided to sign up because of the promised benefits and reduced cost, but this was also a lie. I have never once used my timeshare, or any of the benefits that were promised. Now I am stuck in a contract that was sold to me through ********** claims, pressure, and deceptive sales tactics. Stay Away from Bluegreen!Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc. Response
