We were looking at purchasing a home with them a few months back. We found one we liked and was told to put a $850 deposit on it to save the home. We paid them and then looked at the contract for the home purchase and saw there was a builder fee that was required to be paid at closing they never discussed with us prior. We didnt sign the contract and decided to not go with Lennar. This happened on 6/17/24. We signed and submitted their non-buyer agreement they required to get our refund back (via direct mail). We were told it could take up to 60 days. We still havent received our refund almost 3 months later. We got in contact with our home concierge and she said we never submitted the non-buyer agreement and that she would send us a new one but it could take up to 6 weeks to get a refund from that point. We told her we already did this and now they need to just refund us our money as quickly as possible and so we escalated it to her management team. The manager talked to us for a few calls about figuring it out but now neither the manager nor the concierge will answer my calls. Lennar, we need our money back. It is not yours to keep. We hope a corporate *** will reach to resolve this.Review from Anh N

Horrible ***************** Horrible and Disgusting Neighborhood. I am a current resident of the ******* Development in ********, IN. Yesterday, 9/8/24 at about 12 PM, I was out on my daily walk and one of the other residents follow me in his car across the development, rolled his window down, and accused me of video recording his house. I showed him my phone as I was on FACETIME with my mom. Now, I am a 30 year old, white female, walking by herself and was approached by a male at a dead end road in front of a bunch of empty houses. How is this supposed to make me feel?! On top of this, I then walked into the Model Home by the front of the development to get help from one of your employees, as I was very scared at this point, and she did not even acknowledge me. She was to busy sitting at her desk trying to sell another home. And by the way, your employee's registration on her car is expired by about two years! I stood there waiting in front of her open door and as I was completely ignored, I walked out. Lennar, you treat your current residences, so horribly. I cannot even believe this happened yesterday. I know where this gentleman lives. I was not recording his house, and who cares if I was. There is no expectation of privacy from the road in *******. But to stalk and follow someone in your car, completely across the development to the dead end road, that is crossing the line. Who are you selling these houses too? It is nearly like living in another country when you drive into the ******* Development. Such a disgrace Lennar! As Marine Corps Veteran, buying her first home, I wish I did not do it here!Review from Leigh B

Do not buy a Lennar home. Nothing but issues since we moved in. Roofing is of poor quality as well as our air conditioner. A total disappointment and the warranties are a joke.Lennar Homes, LLC Response

I just closed and havent even moved in! During my walk through they stated all repairs that I requested will get done. Day after closing, went back allowing for all the repairs to be done. They urinated in all toilets without flushing, they left my carpets dirty with dirt. Dont know how when it was paint, work they were doing. Never got my keys or garage key, not everyone with my code can get into my home. I dont have no way of resenting my code to my own home. My fridge when I did the walk through hose was not connected, but everything else was fine. Now when I went back someone switched all the fridge drawers to broken ones. My ac had a loud sound, many other issues with the home. And Im a sick dialysis patient, they saw me coming. Buyers be awareReview from Meaghan M

Highly recommend staying away from this builder. They intentionally keep items you identify in blue tape walks out of their report so they are not accountable to repair and close the items. Our entire house flickers and lights dim when you turn on a vacuum or blow dryer and Lennar warranty keeps stating this is normal. After hiring an electrician and having city utilities out here it has been determined it is wiring in the walls that is causing the issue. Every single outlet in our home causes the same issue. Our grout that is supposed to be white is red because the contractor and PM did not protect the floor or clean the floors during construction. We had water damage in 4 rooms at blue tape because their cleaning crew used too much water. All of our walls have cracked in the corners 1 month into living here. One exterior spigot has zero pressure, the other has too much pressure. The hvac is not ducted properly. The thermostat reads 69 degrees, the master bedroom is 75 degrees and the guest room is 74 degrees. They left trim completely raw and unpainted. Repairs from the blue tape walk were made worse than the original complaint. We have dead switches that go to nothing and control nothing and again their warranty company continues to say sorry, cant helpRewiring an entire house a month into living here is NOT a new owner issue. This is a builder issue for shoddy work.Avoid them at all costs!!!This is in a higher end neighborhood and brand new build.Review from Nicole W

We closed on 8/9/24 and now we have holes in our walls because they crossed the water lines. They are talking about having to tear up the foundation or going through the ceiling to add new water lines. The construction manager promised this would be fixed before closing and now I'm sitting with a hole in the floor for where my toilet should be. All the water lines were put in backwards. We cannot access our mail because the keys are incorrect for the mailbox so we have been waiting 10 days and still can't get into our mailbox. The new home consultant and construction manager are not responding and the warranty manager just keeps apologizing for all of the issues. What recourse do we have? This is pathetic. This "Lennar Experience" has been horrifying and we are nowhere done with the water issue. We are frustrated and aggravated. ******* and ***************************** *********************************************************************Review from Casiland F

I have mold growing on my bathroom walls also on the baseboards I have contacted lennar to come and fix this issue this is a brand new home so I still have my one year warranty they sent out a specialist out and he painted over the mold within 24 hours the walls were back brown and the mold began to grow over the paint the mold is spreading into our bathroom wall. Lennar contacted us and stated they would fix the matter but changed there minds last minute do not buy lennar homes if you value your money and health we have been dealing with this issue for months and have not gotten anything resolved. The sub division wis call prosperty lakes. RUN do not buy from this company. I would rate them a zero If I could.Review from Stephanie T

They deserve 0 stars. Worst mistake ever. Will never again buy a house with lennar or recommend them to anybody. Out sales lady and manager in ft Myers Florida lied to us about an important issue we had before we put in an offer and signed a contract. Now they don’t want to fix there must up and we are stuck in a contract with a much higher payment all thanks to them. We pacifically asked if this was in a flood zone and do we need flood insurance they said NO we are not in flood zone and NO FLOOD INSURANCE IS REQUIRED. Well guess what we are and we do so now our payment goes up 200 a month and the sales manager says oh well you can still qualify for it w the amount so you can’t cancel your contract. I get on paper we qualify but can we afford it NO.
