I went to Shino Bay to get a consultation on some skin treatments. I had some health issues that resulted in my face just looking grey and I had developed some large pores. So I met with their team and was told to do a halo treatment. I explained that I have very sensitive skin and recently had some health issues but was assured that the halo face treatment was going to be on low settings and would be fine. I went for the halo face treatment. It was a very uncomfortable treatment but I knew that it was and just followed the directions for care to a T. Initially, I was told that I would just be red for five days and that I would see optimal results after three months. After one month, I still was very red and was concerned because I was told I was only going to be red for up to five days. So I went for my follow up appointment and was told that being red after one month is normal. I was not told that. Now, It is four months after this procedure and I am still very red, inflamed and actually have a scar on my nose from the treatment. I spent $2500 for this.I called and spoke to the physician assistant to discuss my concerns. I explained to her that I was still extremely red and that I was not told that this was going to happen or I would never have gotten the treatment. Her initial response was defensive and she told me well, you signed the consents. After that, she did ask me to come in to see what she can do for me. Honestly, I dont want her touching me again after not explaining the procedure properly, telling me that I wouldnt have issues when she really couldnt have known, and then explaining that apparently its my fault because I signed the consents.I called the office manager, ***** recently to discuss my concerns. He just defended his staff instead trying to help me. I asked for my money back so I could go to a dermatologist and get this fixed and he said he would get back to me and never did. This company is unethical and it is all about money.

In response to the above review, I would like to add some clarity to the situation and share our experience. When patients are seen at Shino Bay Cosmetic Dermatology, they are not just patients, but family. We pride ourselves in the relationships that we form with them and treat them with respect and inclusion. When a patient is recovering from a procedure and has questions, concerns and/or complaints, we are the first to address those and create a plan of action to get that patient informed of what is happening, how we (as a group) are going to walk with them through the healing process and assure the patient that we will do whatever it takes to help them. When those rare calls come in with a concern, our office-wide protocol would be to schedule that patient for a follow up visit, to spend time evaluating the concerns, to construct a game plan to move forward and then, to address those concerns. While our team followed every one of our protocols with the reviewer, the patient decided not to return to our office. Objectively, the recorded telephone calls and emails with our office, in our opinion, do not match the representations as set forth in the review. Our doors are always open to anyone that is in need, and we truly wish the patient well. We tried to assist the patient in every way possible, but there is only so much a practice can do in this type of situation. It is unfortunate that a patient responds in this way when we have only approached her with respect, understanding, and a willingness to help. We wish the patient only the best in her health ************************ Shino Bay Family
