My family and I have been using Transolution for over 20 years and have never once had a problem. The team over the years has always provided us with stellar service and a great attitude. I personally recommend them to everyone I know and have gotten nothing but positive feed back and thank yous.DO NOT let these whiny people who didn't get there way sway you from giving Transolution a try. Transolution Auto Repair went back on their word multiple times during the process of attempting to deal with them for work on a newer Jeep Renegade.I was initially told, by ***** the owner, that they would provide me a written quote on their work proposal. Couple days later, they informed me they would not provide a written quote, and gave me a verbal estimate (roughly double-cost what the competition quoted). Then I was pressured into committing to their quoted price without seeing anything in writing.Ultimately, they sold me a credit deal through Synchrony, in order to assist with a payment plan. I had to undergo a credit check and apply for a Synchrony account. This negatively affected my credit score.At this point, all work theyd performed on the vehicle was paid in full.After I jumped through the hoops, agreed to pay what ***** clearly told me he was asking for up front, for an engine replacement, he backed out on the entire deal and informed me that he did not want my business because he did not believe I had the ability to pay him. Additionally, he informed me he was going to start charging me daily for having the vehicle at his place of business, even though he had only informed me minutes earlier that he would not work on the vehicle.After I went through the process, my credit score is now damaged slightly, and Im still attempting to get the vehicle fixed. Its probably for the better in the end, since ***** was difficult to deal with and since the dealership written estimate for the same job is less than half the $14000 cost ***** had verbally claimed.Transolution Auto Care Center Response

When ****** vehicle was initially towed into us the customer stated that he had removed the charge air turbo hose thinking it was a coolant hose and the vehicle wouldnt start. The customer then filled the charge air system with water witch hydro locked the engine. Transolution was able to get the water out of the system/engine and get the engine running again. After doing so ***** stated that he put the water into the system thinking it was the engine coolant system. He did this because the vehicle was experiencing fluctuation in engine cooling temp. Transolution then diagnosed this concern to be a failed head gasket or small crack in the cylinder head causing this issue. Based on the overall condition of the engine and the hydro lock that had occurred Transolution recommended that ***** replace the engine with new, this also included replacing all necessary components required as well as a new turbo. At first ***** was not sure if he wanted to have the work performed and requested a Quote for the repair. A rough quote was put together and verbally presented to *****. Transolution did not provide a written estimate due to ***** being unsure if he would complete the repair. Preparing an accurate written estimate these days with the constant changes in parts costs, availability and inflation is very difficult and time consuming with this major of repair. The vehicle had been on Transolution's lot for over a month and a half. ***** finally decided to move forward with the repair however ***** did not have the money and inquired about a payment plan or financing. ***** was informed that Transolution would not provide a in house payment plan, but ******************* could be used. ***** agreed to this, and an application form was e-mailed to *****. ***** filled out the information for Synchrony and was denied the full financing amount from Synchrony. ***** was approved for less than a quarter of the overall cost of the repair. ***** once again asked for a payment plan where Transolution would perform all necessary repairs and then ***** would make small payment to Transolution based on his tips thru the summer months. I ***** the owner once again denied the payment plan idea. Transolution ********* is not a financing company we are an automotive repair company. If the finance company denied the loan while having the ability to research ******* credit history, I surely am not going to put forward money and time on good faith. As far as the dealership estimate being less than that of Transolution the dealer has not seen the overall condition of the vehicle since the vehicle is still on my lot. They are basing their estimate off the engine alone. Once the vehicle gets to the dealership and the engine has been removed. ***** will then get the call stating that multiple other parts are needed to complete the repair properly. ***** will then try to hold the dealer to their written estimate which will not work since it was based on the engine alone not all the additional parts required to complete the job. Bottom line is ***** is upset because he is responsible for damaging his vehicle by putting water into the charge air system damaging the engine and his poor credit management. ***** has never physically been to Transolution all communication has been over the phone.Customer Response

In response to the Transolution response I received via email:It is an odd tactic for a business owner to go online and commit slander regarding his clients credit worthiness. I believe my personal FICO credit score in the mid-700s would be considered very good by most standards, yet here you have ***** stating that somehow I have poor credit management. It is a shame he had me apply for credit, then refused my business, because this process did in fact result in a lowering of my personal credit score.It is also quite curious that after ***** refused my business and told me he would charge me daily for storage on his lot, he then stated that the only other place in ******** that would do this work was Lithia. So I took the vehicle to Lithia and they are doing the work for half of Brians verbal quote.And now I read an email where ***** goes further as to surmising how Lithia conducts their business! Its out of your hands now ***** so no need to worry about how they are handling my business (which btw is very satisfactory thus far).The childish response I received to my BBB review is an accurate reflection of the way my business was handled at Transolution, and is precisely the reason they have not even earned a 1-star rating for customer satisfaction in this review.Review from joe c

Transolution is the most disappointing experience I've EVER had with a mechanic/auto service, 5k miles after having an oil leak fixed and serpentine belt idlers and pulleys "inspected for abnormal wear and malfunction" I find myself breaking down for a failed tensioner pulley. And upon calling the shop their "excellent customer service" informed me that they wouldn't warranty their work! I find it hard to believe that 5k miles after a through inspection my tensioner pulley would wear enough to wear completely through and fall onto the ground. They either didn't catch the wear or choose not to address it either being equally poor craftsmanship.Transolution Auto Care Center Response

THE **** TENSIONER WAS INSPECTED AND OPERATING PROPERLY WHEN THE SERPENTINE **** WAS REPLACED. A NEW **** TENSIONER WAS NOT INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE OF AN ORIGINAL **** TENSIONER WITH OVER 130 K MILES ON IT NO WAY THE RESPONSIBLITY OF TRANSOLUTION. IF THE PART IN QUESTION WAS INSTALLED BY ** HERE AT TRANSOILUTION, IT WOULD BE COVERED WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED UNDER WARRANTY. TRANSOLUTION AUTO CARE PROVIDES A PREVENTATIVE MAINTENCE INSPECTION EACH TIME A VEHICLE COMES INTO THE **** IF ANY THING IS IN QUESTION OR FAILING THESE CONCERNS ARE BROUGHT TO THE CUSTOMERS ATTETION. THIS SERVICE PROVIDES NO EXTENDED WARRANTY ON COMPONENTS THAT WHERE SIMPLY INSPECTED AND AT THAT TIME WHERE IN GOOD CONDITION.
