This company doesnt send me a bill for repairs until 7 months later with the threat of collections within 10 days. The bill is for $295 which covers the replacement of a $10-$15 solenoid. Im waiting for a call back from owner ****? Do not use Safari Lawn Llc.even if desperate!Review from Ralph H

This company provides poor services at exorbitant charges. Some points from our August 5, 2022, letter to Safari:1. You keep claiming you performed aeration, on May 17 which was done before we moved into the home. 2. The only work done on May 17 was mowing and edging for which you charged us $200 for spring clean-up vs. the normal mowing charge of $40. Granted the grass was a little taller, a reasonable charge would have been $80.3. We agreed that Safari would provide pruning services for $275 and would provide bark around 3 trees and the island areas in the front yard, as well as repair ***** areas in lawn with soil prep and seeding the ***** areas for $725. (Note: you charged us $750 when your email said $725.) During your visit you told me that ***** areas were caused by billbugs. At that time, I told you I thought the $725 was excessive and we agreed that you would adjust the cost if the time and material required was less than you estimated. I tracked the time. For pruning 2-men for 4 hours in the morning of June 21 with some yard prep with a leaf rake. They came back the next morning, June 22 to complete the bark application and do the seeding. In total, 3 employees spent 2 hours finishing the bark, spreading seed on the ***** area and sprinkling the seed with a light coating of soil. I stated this to you on a phone conversation and you did not adjust the cost as previously agreed. The charge of $1000 ($275 + $725) is extremely excessive for 6 hours of labor, bark for 3 trees, some seed, and soil.5. Some 3 -4 weeks later, I requested you or a knowledgeable employee come look at the yard because there was very little improvement most of the ***** spots were still there. Your employee, ****, told us the ***** spots were not due to billbug as the roots of the ***** grass were still intact. ***** spots were because a different type of grass seed (I believe he said rye) was used that was not heat tolerant.Our requests for adjustments were denied.Review from William H

I received a **** from this company but when I asked them what work they performed they could not say other than rewire a sprinkler which they did not do. All they did was come out look at the system, tell me they would be back and then never returned and never fixed anything.Safari Lawn Care, LLC Response

Our tech was out to ************** property for a wiring issue with a valve. The valve wires were loose so he tightened them together and everything worked when he left.Review from Vijay

Please do not hire this business. They are engaged in a pattern of fraudulent and deceptive business tactics to scam people out of money. By reading the numerous reviews and complaints on BBB, ******* and other places, you'll find that this is not an isolated incident. Simply put, what ******************* and his business like to do is schedule a service with you, though they won't tell you when it'll happen and claim that the service was provided. Then they will **** you for that service and additional charges, and if you don't pay they will put a lien on your property in order to scare you into paying. I booked a spring clean-up service with **** and he refused to send a written quote, only text, and email. Warning number one. He then couldn't commit to a solid date and someone from his company showed up about a month later. Luckily, I work from home and was able to witness all 30 minutes of the so-called 'work' this person did. After they left and I never saw them again, I received a **** for the services. **** told me they did it at a later date, which they never did because someone is always home and would know. Even if someone wasn't home, the lawn was far from being clean up or having any of the additional services like weed and feed, fertilizer placed on my lawn. If you have been scammed by ******************* and Safari Lawn Care, PLEASE CONTACT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. I have already opened up a case with them and consulted private legal advice. Vijay hired us in the spring to do a spring cleanup, preventative weed control, and fertilizer for his lawn. We did all of the initial work and had not received any payment. We reached out to him, but no response. We canceled his account and made collection efforts.Safari Lawn Care, LLC Response

Please avoid this company! Please read all of the reviews and complaints filed before proceeding. I actually called "Boise Best Lawn Care" after reading their positive reviews on Google. Kenny answered the phone and said "Safari." When I questioned the name of the company, he said he was recently bought out by Safari. I didn't take the next step and look up reviews of Safari. Mistake #1 on my part. However, my experience is very similar to several of the complaints filed with the BBB and reviews on Google for Safari. I asked Kenny for a quote on spring clean up. He says he charges by the hour, $65/per person per hour. (Mistake #2, I didn't ask for that quote in writing.) He says he usually sends out 1-2 people. We scheduled the spring clean up for the following week and he arrived on time, alone. He started the job at 9am, then left at 10:35am telling me he needed to run to the store to pick up more supplies (?!?!?!). I asked him how long he will be, and he said "not too long." I asked again, "15 minutes? 30 minutes?" He said "yeah, it shouldn't take too long." He returned at 11:30am and then abruptly left our house at 11:45am, running out as he told my husband that he was late for his next appointment. He left without asking us if we needed him to do anything else as part of spring clean up and also left without providing us with a bill/invoice. I was not able to catch him in time to ask for the final cost in person. A month later, we receive a bill by email for $250, almost double of what I was expecting to pay, before tip. Of course, this is higher than the quoted $65/hour for one person. I immediately responded to the email asking for clarification and received no response. Two weeks later, I call the same number for "Boise Best Lawn Care" and Jeff answers the phone. He tells me he will investigate and later calls me back to say the invoice is correct and there was a "dumping fee." Kenny never mentioned a dumping fee to me on the phone. Jeff then says he'll ask Kenny to call me to clear up misunderstandings. Kenny never called. I paid the $250 but told Jeff I would be leaving a review on BBB, Google, and Yelp. I just wanted to move on from this company and never use them again. I also would like to warn anyone else from being scammed. Please, find someone else to care for your lawn. I understand that this turns into "he said she said" because I did not ask for a written quote. I own my mistake #1 and mistake #2 above. But doesn't it seem odd that my experiences are voiced over and over again by others too????Safari Lawn Care, LLC Response

Ming contacted us for a spring cleanup/prune. We told he $250 for all of the work. ***** did the work and we sent a **** at the end of the month. Both ***** and Ming could not agree on what was said. We prefer to have this in an email or a text so we can verify the agreement.
