    On 4/1/2024 I took my Minn-Kota Ternova along with my i-pilot Link Remote into Spokane Valley ******* I had previously called and talked to them concerning a problem I had with the remote. I explained that after turning on the remote it would continually go back to the "I agree" screen. I also told them that I had replaced the battery but it made no difference, it would still continue to go back to the "I agree" screen. After bringing in the motor with the remote I repeated my problem with, ******************************* and told him I had already changed the battery. ******* politely told me that the remote might be capable of being reformatted but made no promises that it could. On 4/10/2024 I received a call and was told, "We changed the battery and it made no difference, you need a new remote". When I came in the next day to pick up the motor and remote I told the once again that I had already tried changing the battery and knew it would not make any difference. It ended up costing me $92.45 for diagnosing a problem, I told them I had already done. When I called and talked to the owner he was disrespectful and not interested in what I was telling him. Instead he tried to tell me that the technician had checked the circuitry and found it faulty. I found this strange for two reasons. If they would have checked the circuitry you would have thought they would have told me when they called and also put it on the invoice. Neither were done. I was only told (over the phone) they "changed the battery and it made no difference". Even though I was disgusted and upset, I did not ask for a refund, even though I should have never been charged in the first place. I did feel it would have been an act of good costumer relationship that I might be given some consideration in purchasing a remote. I had another technician look at the remote and was advised, it appeared that no one had opened the remote and checked the circuitry.
