I have a history with Landers and they continue to make it worse. 7 years ago i went to landers to purchase a vehicle since the engine blew in mine. I arrived in a rental (Hertz). I spoke with a sales representative who wanted me to forget about my current car and buy one off the lot. I had issues with that because my jeep still pad payments. I just needed a basic used car at the time. He attempted to convince me to let my jeep go into repossession and tried to assure me that the car sale will be done by then. I know how that worked. Guy was a scam artist just wanting a sale. I go to leave and he follows me out to keep pressing it. I get in the car and boom. We get rear ended in their parking lot by a vehicle that rolled out of the service bay. The sales manager comes, gives me an insurance card and tells me not to give it to hertz unless they notice the damage. Total scam. I swore i wouldn't go back. Fast forward to the last two weeks. I buy a 2018 Dodge Challenger out of texas and paid in cash. I reach out to Landers to have the factory remote start installed. Due to the mopar strike the part isnt available anywhere. I ask if i can find it can it be installed by you. He easily guaranteed yes. "Bring the part and we will charge $80 - $100 to install. I searched high and low for a few days and finally found the part in a dealership in Virginia. I reach out and they confirmed they had it. While in the phone with them i called bck to landers who confirmed the part number and onc again said when i received it to bring it in and they will install it for $80 to $100. I go ahead with purchasing it for $417 including shipping. I get it and the moment i talked to landers today 3/6/2023 with the part they said they cant install. I told the story and then they said they could for around 350 to 400. I said you guys quoted me a way lower price multiple times but they didnt care. Once again bad treatment. Now i have to pay or not have it installed. Please save time. Stay away!
