Don't get mixed up with this HORRIBLE COMPANY with even WORSE customer service. There is a man named ******************* who won't respond to emails unless he is sending you a bill. Then when you reply with no money...he ignores you. He is NO HELP. The entire company only cares about money.Review from Tavare W

So me and my wife purchased this Jan 2019. I agree with everyone about the pressure they place on you to buy but we bought anyway. We were told that it was **** dollars but we had to put down **** so we did. Our monthly feed were suppose to be 156 dollars a month. We had been paying the fees for a year then all of a sudden they told us we had to pay **** for mantience fees which where not brought up in the pitch. So we had to work out a way to pay those with them another monthly bill. Then using the app they gave us didn't work couldn't log in nothing. Then the places we wanted to go they had no places there but this is all background for what happened yesterday. We had not used the property in 2020 or 2021 because of covid. I believe in March 2022 after our trip decide to charge us **** dollars because of covid loss wages. I called them yesterday and said we should not be charged this who can afford an extra **** dollars we barely paying it know. He then became insulting on the phone telling me to take out another loan to pay this one. So I asked when this was over in terms of the payment he said I had **** dollars left . I then asked how he gave me the run down payments from 2019 to present which totaled about **** . So I asked how do I owe **** when we've paid about **** . He tried to tell me it's interest that makes no sense ur saying out of **** dollars only **** of its has been paid as principal doesn't make sense. So I asked to speak to his Manger he said he was the Manger I asked to speak to someone above him that's when he started to insult me and I started to yell back. This loan they put you in males no sense and when you try and get out of it they tell you it's impossible. I don't use them at all for my vacations and I just wanted out of it . And it seems they can charge you extra fees when they want to. I would give this a zero if I could. What's funny when covid happen they continued to take fees even though ppl had lost there job.Review from jimmy b

***************** targets the elderly. Can you imagine pressuring people in their 70s to make such a large purchase and take on more debt? That is exactly what happened just a few months ago at the ******* resort. Because of our age, we were promised that our sales agent ****** would take care of us. Well, after convincing us to open 2 new credit cards and agree to a monthly payment that we could not afford, he promised that he could refinance the loan for us in 10 days to an affordable monthly payment. We got in touch with ****** 10 days later and he said it was actually 30 days we had to wait, and since then he has never returned our calls. We believe ****** saw both of us as elderly and could be easily lied to and be forgetful enough that he would not have to keep his promise of refinancing the loan. Now we are paying double than we did with our old timeshare and cannot afford this on a fixed income.Great Destinations Inc Response

This is clearly a scam. They never answer their phone when you try to book and when someone finally answered; they hang up and send a text to fill out a form with all your personal information including passport info. Why would I need passport info to go to *****? Do not fall for company - its a scam!Great Destinations Inc Response

**********************, you must have us mistaken for another Great Destinations who are based in *******. they sell travel certificates. we never ask for passport information nor do we text. i searched our records and can't find you in our owner file. I wish you the best.Review from Roger G

These people lied about everything they promised us, we never were able to book any rooms or get discounts. We had another time share and they told us to stop paying the other time share and go with them that they would just go away. They should be responsible for false information. Great destinations is one big lie do yourself a favor and stay clear from these people. They should not be in business it's all a big scam.Great Destinations Inc Response

Is they sucker you in and offer you things that aren't achievable. I remember I was in the mall and was trying to win a tasla car all of a sudden I get a call saying that I have one but I but I need to come here to claim my winning ning once I get there I sit in the waiting room waiting for a period of time. There were other people there. They were waiting to fill up the room then once that was done we all went into the big room big room has some coffee had a little snack is the little snack went to sit down for a presentation telling us filling our heads up with a luxurious timeshare time share experience that we all could have you all could have going to the Bahamas going to ****** going to all these destinations across the world but let alone when that was all done they had to sit down at a table Filling us more and more c*** it became overwhelming and it sounded good and it got you the act so So we proceeded down the road and ended up signing up we weren't told anything about having to pay over up it's over a short manual amount we thought all we had to do is pay the 75 hunter and we were good to go then then we were also found out that the other money that we had to pay was for maintenance fees men's fees and get a little less they weren't cheap and they're gonna charge us every year the same price we have yet nor do we ever plan on using this service When you talk to the representative on the phone all they wanna do is get you to pay we decided we weren't going to pay any more They then told us that if we don't pay that they are going to send it to the credit bureau to get them to make us pay unfortunately after all that he says read your contract read your contract you have taken out alone no we did not take out alone but they defraud us again and now we have to stay within this contract or haven't do negative on our credit report All we want to do is cancel we don't want anything more to do with this company they mess let us I never got my Tesla I get a little scratcher ticket saying ooh a little scratch or take it saying oh this is your chance you could win if you But get a load of this none of the cards are winners they they lie to you they deceive you they tell you things and then at the end of the day the day they leave with their pockets filled or potentially filled we leave confused if confused and then when you finally figure it out that they were scamming you they decide to reach out and tell you weren't I scammers we're not scammers and get a load of this I read this company is not even registered with a Better Business Bureau They have a sucky review If they're so willing to be there for their customers for their customers they need to be willing to cancel the contract the contract but they're not They want money all they want is your money and if you try to get out they tell you you're not able to win unfortunately you are able to get out of a contract brag that's what the ********** law is all about they think because they run inside a ********** they don't have to abide by any rules they also said that they're offederally following the federal laws they're not following the federal laws it's in the federal laws it has been proven in 2 different other States they receive customers jest To fill their own pockets They lost in 2 other ******************* needs to be taken down and needs to be put out of business It also seems to me like they don't want to deal with the better's business bureau they want a handle things outside of using Better Business Bureau to solve the issues watch out the only way I will have any contact with these guys from now on and from the future is with a Better Business Bureau I'm also reaching out to the licensing board I will have their business license revolt one way or the other We who are using this platform to get our discretions taken discretion's taken care of we need to also go to the business license board and report this business have business have their business license revolt once their pockets are hurting they have no choice but to change the way they practice quit practice quit deceiving people quit putting articles out there for people to like click click and go and gain then find out after they get their heads filled of c*** They have no way out. Just so you know Better Business Bureau if you are reading this the only way the only way this will ever matter whatever be resolved is whe resolved is when the contract is now employed between me it's between me and the great destination chimney so if you think you can close this this you can't close it until I give you the permission And I already know ***** great destination has no plans I'm canceling my contractReview from Melissa S.

Avoid doing business with Great Destinations, especially if you are a teacher. We unfortunately purchased with them because they told us our week in *** could easily be traded through *********************** as well as used to go on cruises during the summer, which is the only time teachers can travel. The points package they sold isnt enough to travel during the summer season and we certainly dont have enough points to take a cruise. If we didn't deposit our week by a certain time, then we would lose points. In fact, this last year we lost our points and the week vacation due to an issue with the dues that continue to go up each year. They never explained all the different memberships and all the fees associated with them. There is literally a fee for everything! It was only supposed to be $169 charge to book vacations through *********************** but it has now gone up to $250 per vacation exchange. Not to mention they said we would get free weeks each year. What they didn't say is there a $250 charge to get the free weeks and that they are only available in certain areas and have to be used by a certain time. Great Destinations will tell you everything you want to hear just to make a sale and not tell you about all the things that make timeshare unbearable to own, like passing on the timeshare to your children and that they will have to pay the maintenance fees for the rest of their lives.Great Destinations Inc Response

********************, i am perplexed why you are unhappy. I reviewed your file and it appears since you purchase in 2017 you've traveled a few times: Nov 2019 Thanksgiving in ***********, Dec ***************** ************ ** and again June 2021 in ***********. In addition we've notice a number of other reservations that you subsequently cancelled. Also, the additional Getaway weeks that are offered are in addition to the points you own and can be reserved for as little as $250 per full week. That is a great value.I am sorry you feel the way you do, we try and help every owner get the most out of their ownership.
