Everything seemed fine - they sent me an acknowledgement of the sale and "updates" on where the order stood until I questioned the 'unable to deliver' statements indicating there was a problem accessing the building. When I responded that I was in a single-family home and there was no restriction, the 'support' tech got very defensive and told me I could wait or request a refund. I requested a refund. I have been unable to contact them since. The email address they provided for support was "[email protected]". That address is no longer active, as I received a failure notice from [email protected]. I have attached their "tracking notice" that they continued to 'update.'

I don't remember how I was approached, but this particular scammer was posing as someone from a construction company. The job itself was for a 'remote virtual assistant.' They asked for some of my personal information, some of which I did unfortunately give away. I was hired shortly after, which did seem strange as they did not question whether I had the proper skills for the job, nor conducted a proper interview. Two days after I was approached by this "job," they immediately sent me a suspicious amount of money that was meant to be used to pay their supposed bills. I quickly went to search if it was normal for a company to have a new hire pay for their bills or equipment, and to my surprise, it is not at all normal. I hope that this will help others avoid situations like this, before something unthinkable happens in which there is reversing it.

I added to my LinkedIn account that I was open to work. I was contacted by Manish Sharma (Anna Sharma) recruitment consultant at CareerBuilder. She stated ChargePoint was founded in 2007, electric vehicle charging solutions that primarily provides charging equipment, software platforms and network management services, opening remote full-time/part-time positions. She stated that my background was a good fit for the role. Also, she stated she was pleased to receive my resume, and that her career advisor, Teana Allen, would contact me shortly via SMS/RCS to assist you with the next steps. Teana Allen contacted me through text message her phone number is (305) 397-5478. She assisted me with setting up a profile on https://www.chargingpile- maintenance.com/#/pages/about/about and that included adding my email and phone number. Teana stated that ChargePoint provided free training, I would receive a bonus of $60 to $200, company employs a phase salary payment mechanism, 28-day work cycle, base salary was paid in four phases: phase 1: 5 days of work $1,100, phase 2: 8 days $1,600, phase 3: 16 days of work $2,800, phase 4: 28 day work cycle $9,00, hours 10 am to 10 PM ET, complete 3 rounds of charging station maintenance tasks within that timeframe. I was asked if I used Cash App wallet due to it being a global company and that currency exchange rates differ from country to country, employees face different tax issues when receiving their salaries in each country, the company uniformly uses cryptocurrency to distribute salaries. She stated she would guide me on how to link my Cash App to the work account and make a withdrawal request, find Bitcoin. I inquired if I was getting paid in Bitcoin, and she mentioned as stated above that with it being a global company the different taxes that employee face, and that she would guide me on the process of exchanging the cash balance in the platform app. I was told by Teana that before any new charging station maintenance work, that I had to maintain a minimum bal. of $100 in the account to perform charging station maintenance operations, to contact Customer Service (CS) and state that I needed to receive the merchant's BTC deposit address in order to reset a new round of charging station maintenance tasks. I was told that CS would complete the verification. I was supposed to receive $1,100 on the 5th day of work since I started on 7/15/2026. On 7/20/2026 I added the $100 minimum deposit to perform the charging maintenance operations, as I began the 2nd round of maintenance the $1,100 was added to the balance, and a maintenance repair came up which put a negative balance, and I was told to add to the negative bal. to complete the tasks, as I went to complete the task another repair charge incurred, which gave me a bal. of -$4,486.48. I contacted ChargePoint and let them know that I could not match the funds via WhatsApp CS (415) 632-7137 and told that I would not be able to withdraw the funds before the maintenance was 100 % complete which meant I had to add $4,486. I sent multiple messages to CS on the app that I did not have the money. I contacted ChargePoint from a number I got from google chrome, Calvin Springs, Sr Deployment Specialist researched my complaint on my money of -$4 486 and confirmed they were not associated with this ChargePoint. I received a call from Christina Villecas, Activation Supervisor at (602) 329-1713 and she has agreed to speak with you about this crime that occurred.

They said it would be delivered the next day (8/23), and I would get confirmation. Delivery was not received. Confirmation about delivery was never received. I called the company again. Over the course of 30 phone calls and 4 days, I was either hung up on, waited on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up on, or transferred to an AI assistant who could never find my order number and then would hang up on me when trying to transfer the call to a "live assistant". I have yet to get in contact with a live person to assist. I finally called my Credit Card company on 8/25 to dispute the charges.

They said they were unaware that a scammer had referred my family member to their agency. My family member told me that she told World Finance that the load was for someone else… They claimed not to be aware that a scammer had referred their office.
