She immediately knows its me and her reason was because she pulled it with my phone number. Googled phone number to see if my account was going to increase and got in touch with this shoun parker - 833-580-0577, and they indicated having two Peacock accounts. I let him know I had one for $10.99 and that Peacock owes me over $500. Attempted to go through many different vendors, Amazon, Target, to give refund. When those attempts didn't work, he advised that I would have to go to Dollar General to purchase gift cards to make a payment on my credit card. Made purchase and gave him numbers, made purchase on credit card and let them know of my scam. Filed a dispute with Capital One for $850. Opened case with Apple, since it was a gift card.

Received call from “National Survey XXX.” I missed the end of the name. Wasn’t really listening as I was driving and I could tell it was a scam call. The caller asked for me by name. I told the scammer I was not myself and to remove my number from their call list. They kept asking, “Are you sure you’re not her?” In increasingly aggressive tone as I continued to deny I was myself. Caller then switched to threatening that they were outside my house and they knew I owned a red car, which didn’t scare me because you can clearly see my car when pulling up my address on Google Maps, so I hung up. But if I wasn’t skilled in scam detection I would have been freaked out.

I was contacted by individuals identifying themselves as representatives of First Asset Solutions regarding an alleged HSBC debt that they claimed belonged to me. I dispute the debt entirely and do not recognize the account. During the telephone communications, the callers made claims regarding the alleged debt and referenced other companies/entities in connection with it. The circumstances and information provided raised serious concerns for me regarding whether the debt, the caller's authority to collect it, and/or the identities of the companies involved were legitimate. I requested written validation of the alleged debt, including documentation establishing that the account belongs to me, the identity of the current creditor/owner, the original creditor and account information, an itemization of the amount claimed, First Asset Solutions' legal business information and North Carolina collection agency licensing/permit information, and documentation establishing their authority to collect the debt. Because I could not independently verify the alleged account or the caller's claims, I have treated the communications as a suspected debt-collection scam and have not acknowledged the debt or made any payment. I have preserved communications and other evidence relating to the incident and have also reported the matter to law enforcement. I am submitting this report so that BBB can document the activity and help alert others who may receive similar communications from individuals using the name First Asset Solutions.
