I don't remember how I was approached, but this particular scammer was posing as someone from a construction company. The job itself was for a 'remote virtual assistant.' They asked for some of my personal information, some of which I did unfortunately give away. I was hired shortly after, which did seem strange as they did not question whether I had the proper skills for the job, nor conducted a proper interview. Two days after I was approached by this "job," they immediately sent me a suspicious amount of money that was meant to be used to pay their supposed bills. I quickly went to search if it was normal for a company to have a new hire pay for their bills or equipment, and to my surprise, it is not at all normal. I hope that this will help others avoid situations like this, before something unthinkable happens in which there is reversing it.

The website advertises crab snacks. According to their website, each bag you buy is supposed to contain approximately 200 crab snacks I only paid $51 for the six bags which is still too much. According to their website the retail price on these six bags is $228. Once I receive the product, I count 10 to 15 snacks per bag which is a far cry from 200. It says right on their website that I should be getting 1200. I tried to contact them on this issue. The phone number that they provide on their website is out of service. I tried two separate emails to the email address they provide on their website which both were unsuccessful. You can see by the photos that I've included that this company is false advertising and misleading people. They didn't ship me what I ordered according to their website. There's no way to get in contact with them after you make a purchase because all the information they provide on their website doesn't work. I'm filing this complaint to make sure that in the future this company doesn't scam anyone else. In the pictures I provided you can clearly see that there is far from 200 in each bag. Some of the bags you can see more bag than product. Hopefully you will put an end to this so they don't scam people in the future.

After an online communication/interview process, I was sent an employment offer. Shortly after, I received a physical FedEx overnight package containing a counterfeit check intended to be used for equipment purchases or onboarding expenses. Key Details of the Fraud: Shipping Origin: The FedEx overnight envelope listed a return address for a printing company called "Camerique Inc."Address Used: The address associated with the sender/company is 19141 Golden Valley Rd, Suite 1001, Santa Clarita, CA 91387. Upon investigation, this physical address belongs to a retail Staples store, and "Suite 1001" is a completely fabricated office unit used to create a false sense of legitimacy. The Check: A physical check was enclosed in the package, drawn on a fabricated or compromised account, representing a classic "overpayment" or "fake check" employment scam designed to trick me into depositing funds and wiring money back before the check bounces. I did not cash or deposit the check, and I am reporting this incident to log the fraudulent activity, protect other potential victims, and create an official record

Applied for a job with Five Star Bath Solutions via Indeed. Then I was asked to research flights for a convention he was attending with specifics on dates, traveling from, to, etc. Provided a list of options via proposal. Then to pay for the expenses, sent me a check that I regrettably deposited and processed two separate purchases of bit coin and sent to him. Once I notified him my bank declined the check after I was already out $1,500, his email address suddenly no longer exists. My bank has since cut ties with me and frozen my accounts and money and I am under investigation and now a risk. I am without money, will have a hard time getting a new checking account and don't know how I am going to pay it back which I know I need to.

They purported to be selling various different little lights that would plug in to recharge showing either ocean, sky , butterflies, etc. that would light up the ceiling and walls when plugged in! I stupidly ordered a set of 5 for about $70.00, supposed to be one of each kind! When I attempted to reach the company to return the items as they were not what I expected, I was unable to find any such company!
