Scam information

This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.

Description

Tax relief scam. Says you may qualify for the IRS liability reduction program created by the new administration (not a thing). Same voicemail everytime (sounds like text to speech) just with a varying name (Samantha/Mark). Called ID numbers are spoofed and different but the number to call back in the voicemail is always the same. They say press 9 to opt out (don’t do that, just confirms that your number is live). Voicemail also says “the allocated budget for this program may run out soon”. Classic trick to get you to act fast and not think
