From a government site I searched “how to renew my US passport” and the aforementioned name popped up. I had just completed an application for a REAL ID and this looked very legitimate. I gave them ALL MY personal information believing I was still linked to the government site. At the end of their process, AFTER I paid, I received a notice (in larger print) saying that they were a private business and that the form I submitted was available for free on the gov site, that they would review my data for completeness and issue me a PDF form used by the gov and I would have to pay an additional fee to the gov. I was shocked to have been so easily duped! After I paid, my daughter looked at the site and they do have info relating to their “business” status but in very very tiny print! They have no phone number, no address and no viable email address. Caveat emptor - LET THE BUYER BEWARE. This “business now has ALL of my personal data-ALL OF IT! And they cannot be reached!!
