Description
BlossumUp is a website designed to provide you information about personal psychological information based on a quiz they let you take. They lure you in by offering you your one-time results for $1.95. However, buried in their lengthy receipt that they email you, they automatically sign you up for their monthly service that costs $29.95/mo. I emailed them immediately after seeing my credit card charge for the first month of the subscription asking them to cancel the subscription because I was unaware that I had been signed up for the subscription. I got an email back saying that, while they could cancel my subscription, they couldn't cancel the first month and they provided a detailed email showing that I had signed up for their subscription when I paid for my one-time results for $1.95, but this information was buried in the email. I believe this is a pernicious way of scamming customers into paying their first month's subscription when they only wanted the one time results. Almost all other subscriptions that I've emailed on the first day of the first subscription charge will refund you for the month, but BlossumUp refused. A quick Google search showed that many, many others have had a similar experience. I ask that the BBB look into their suspicious and dishonest way of conducting business.
