On my browser I typed "passport application online" this directed me to the website passportseasy.com (my first option in the web browser) where on the main page it states that they are registered with the US government to provider services. After filling out the form I was told to print it and take it to my local post office for mailing and to receive my picture. I was charged $234.00. The email i received from them gave me a list of offices to choose from, each requiring you to schedule an appointment with them- these appointments are booked out for one month minimum. I booked my visit for one month down the road, the soonest available slot. Little did I know that passportseasy had in small print at the bottom of my receipt that said that I only had 3 business days to cancel their services or no refund would be provided. When i go onto travel.state.gov, which gives a listed of registered courier's, this website is not listed or registered as passportseasy stated....I went to the post office where i expected to just mail my information and was told that this website is junk and incorrect. I had to pay an additional $130 (the actual fee for passports) via check. When I called passportseasy- I was told that i was speaking to a manager and that a refund was out of the question and that nothing can be done. They did not provide me with any services. Their website is hard to navigate making it easy to miss the small print regarding their cancelation policy. They have all of my personal information- phone number, address, SS# and debit card information.
