Description
Googled Expedia phone number to cancel a reservation. Apparently not knowing at the time, it was not Expedia. Rebooked flight, outbound flight went well, however when attempting to come home, got our seat assignment, boarding pass, got through security,, till when at the gate scanning boarding pass, it showed as refunded and confused, airline would not let us board. Eventually missed the flight. Called the number back, they booked us to different airline, and same outcome. Ticket was canceled and would not let us board. They then wanted to book a third flight for $2000. This is when we realized it was not Expedia. In addition to the fraudulent activity, they take you when your most vulnerable as you just want to get home and figure out the rest later + dealing with natural airport stress. We were told from the airline, reason provided of the refund was that I died from the scammer. Although Expedia was not at fault, booking through a third party caused massive confusion when sorting out facts with the airlines. We will not be booking through third party for awhile. Eventually we booked direct and after spending the night at the airport, we finally made it home. Message for the scammers - It takes a different kind of person to morally accept what you do. May God forgive you for your actions. Good news is credit card company was smart enough to block payment.
