When we tried to check in for our American Airlines flight, there was a problem with the website and we could not complete it. I asked my phone (Google) for the phone number of American Airlines Customer Service. It provided the 800-433=7300 and dialed it for me. The scammers answered "American Airlines. What is your Confirmation Code?" Once i gave them our code, they had full access to our account and said our flights would be cancelled if we didn't pay #1889.89. I asked for a supervisor. Another individual spoke to us and repeated the demand for payment or our flights were cancelled. We thought we were speaking to the airlines and we eventually gave them our credit card. Afterwards, we called the airlines back and our credit card company when we realized it was fraud. Our flights were good the following day. Three days before our return home from Thailand, all our return flights were cancelled on-line by an unknown person. The airlines would not reinstate our flights and we had to pay them an additional $3,000.00 to rebook the same flights we had already paid for in full.
