Description
I thought I was on an actual airfare comparison website, as the ticket price was similar across multiple sites. Looking back even the "legit" sites being compared to were probably just a misappropriated logo with a price. A few hours after booking, I received a call from a person supposedly from the booking site. He was pretty rude right from the start. He immediately kept trying to get me to spend more money by claiming that because it was discount ticket no bags were allowed, no carry-on, no personal item. I informed him that this was not disclosed on the website, he became argumentative. This is where he insisted that my card had already been charged, and refunds are impossible. Unless I payed an addition $75 fee but still wouldn't guarantee a refund. My card had not actually been charged at this point, and I immediately called the issuer to have it canceled.
