Advertised a product on a sponsored ad on TikTok. I wanted to check on shipping, because I wasn’t sure where the product would be shipped from. Had to put in my card info, which is fairly typical. Had the transaction go through without intended authorization, as I tried to read their “billing terms”. My bank texted me immediately to check for fraud. They gave me the number for the company associated with the transaction - Dapper Retail. Called them, they said I would have my money back for that transaction, of $19.90, within 48 hours. Never received. Then, ten days later, I got a text message from my bank about fraud again, as a transaction of $39.98 from Dapper Retail was pending. I hadn’t even visited the website again, let alone ordered anything. Called Dapper Retail again, they say they can only process refunds so I can expect to see that within 3 days.
