Description

Description of the Experience: I purchased a service from PlaylistSupply.com, which advertises itself as a tool to help musicians achieve organic growth on Spotify by providing a database of playlist curators who are vetted, bot-free, and compliant with Spotify’s terms of service. However, the service was misrepresented and failed to deliver on its promises in the following ways: 1. Botted Playlists and Misrepresentation: The playlists provided by their database were confirmed to be botted, artificially inflating streams with fake accounts instead of real listeners. This is a direct contradiction of their advertised claim of being “bot-free” and offering safe, organic growth opportunities for artists. 2. Illicit Behavior by Playlist Curators: The curators in their database engaged in payola, requesting direct payment for playlist placements, a practice that violates Spotify’s policies. This type of behavior jeopardizes the music and accounts of artists who use these services, potentially resulting in song removal or account bans. 3. Significant Risks to Customers: By providing unsafe playlists and connecting artists to curators engaging in fraudulent activity, this service puts users at risk of losing their music, their accounts, and their reputations. Rather than helping artists grow, it exposes them to harm and liability. 4. Refusal to Issue Refunds: Within 48 hours of purchase, I identified the issues with this service and requested a refund. Despite their misrepresentation and the risks posed, the company refused to honor my request for a refund. This shows a complete disregard for their customers and accountability. Tactics Used by the Company: • The company uses misleading marketing to present itself as a legitimate service that complies with Spotify’s terms. • They emphasize safety and professional growth for artists, but in reality, their service is unsafe and fraudulent. • When customers discover the misrepresentation and request refunds, the company denies those requests and refuses to take responsibility. This experience has been extremely disappointing and harmful. PlaylistSupply.com not only failed to deliver on their promises but also exposed me to significant professional risks due to their fraudulent practices. I am seeking accountability for their false advertising and poor business practices.
