Email received regarding bonus weeks available for El Cid Vacation Resorts. Contacted them regarding time share cancellation. Contacted a different el cid number and told contract termination not possible. The scammers presented themselves as employees of El Cid Vacation Resorts using the names Alan Valdez, Gabriella Carmona, and Isabella Ramos Reyez. Communications resulted in an agreed upon amount to terminate our El Cid contract and they conned us into sending money via wire transfer. After sending a wire transfer the real El Cid sent us a a bill for maint fees and we said the contract was terminated. They told us we were scammed, that those people do not work for them, and we're still tied to the contract and fees. I believe the scammers are in cahoots with the real El Cid as they had information on me and my membership status that I did not provide to them at the stage of negotiation.
