I’m selling a car on Craigslist and someone sent me a text about the car. They wanted me to run a VIN history report using their specific site (autovinfacts.com). I was not familiar with that site so I pushed back on them saying I would provide a Carfax report and that’s when their good English in text became broken. Upon further review, this website does not appear to be legitimate. They did not provide an email. They wanted to meet to see the car but kept changing time and then when I would not give them the report they were very angry. I have since blocked the number and I want to share this information with others so they are aware if they sell a car in the future.
