I was trying to adopt a Bichon Frise named Alice from Lucky Dog Small Breed Rescue (https://www.facebook.com/groups/747132677432872). Evidently, they are frauds. I paid a deposit of $150 through PayPal to [email protected] James Robert (Roberts Crosstown Air.) on 10/22/24. I made arrangements to pick her up in Newburgh, NY on Monday 10/28/24 but was told there was an issue with the foster. They said they would deliver her to me yesterday 10/26/24 and today 10/27/24. A pet transportation company contacted me and said I needed to pay for pet insurance ($500-1000)! They said they could not deliver without the insurance! I have been back and forth with the rescue and the transportation company. I have reported the rescue as frauds to Facebook to shut them down. What was their response? They haven't violated their community standards! I've reported the admins Yailena Ramos and Shirley Lavin and moderator Emily Anderson to Facebook also. Same response…they haven’t violated their community standards. I have contacted PayPal to get a refund of my deposit. I'm doubting that I will see that money. I am very disappointed in Facebook but will keep trying. I want this group shut down. It needs to be shut down. I’m sure I’m not the only one suckered in by them. I keep telling them via email (was told it was Emily Anderson communicating with me) that I want the dog and the agency’s name, location and phone number but my request has been denied.
