9:14 am Pacific Time on 10/23/2024 I received a phone call. They knew my name, address & phone number and that I own a weeks timeshare (I told them Parkway) and that I had expiring points. They said they worked with RCI, they are audited by ARTA and gave me their website (after I asked how did I know she was legitimate), pointing out the testimonials at the bottom of the screen. A man first took general info & when I said I didn't planning on traveling this year, he transferred me to a lady, Jasmin I think her name was. She then explained the deal that they had a business that wanted to buy my two weeks and it would be over $10,000. All I had to do was pay $1800/wk for maintenance fees. I asked to have my expense deducted from the business' check. She said business would mail me a check direct and they had to charge my fees. She wanted my creadit card # so she could bill it. I had to give that to her before they would send/email me any papers, etc. She had to have my card# so she could transfer me to the billing person who would then have me ellectronically sign for the charge. I said that isn't how sales are made and that I need to see the papers first. She hung up on me.I called RCI & they said this is a scam, they already had other calls this morning but they used different company name, and RCI would be reporting it through their channels.
