Description
I had been searching for airline/hotel information. I was also trying to renew a passport for a future trip. I thought the $89 was part of an application fee. They sent a link to a fillable form DS-82 passport renewal. I filled it out including the SSN, DOB and sent it. Then, they sent a message back and said the form was fine, just print it out, sign it and return it to the proper government agency. In other words, the $89 was just to use their fillable form and "check it over". More importantly, they now have my personal information. I printed the PDF, but I then realized it was a scam, since I still had to pay all the government fees for the passport, so I did not send the form to them. I plan to take the form to a local license bureau and get my passport renewed.
