I applied for a remote job through their LinkedIn ad, filled out a job application, then got the following email: “Hello *********, Thank you for your interest in employment with us. We require all applicants to attend our meeting, where we discuss more about our company, the role, and compensation. -Schedule Your Meeting Here- We look forward to learning more about you and potentially welcoming you to the team! - Hiring Team” The email included a web link and the word ‘required’ was underlined. It felt phishy so I didn’t click it. The email it came from was [email protected], but it had [email protected] cc’d which is what got my notice.
