Description
I have had the same as others posted experiences with same scammers HYBRID IP SECURITY. ON 11/14/2022 I opened my laptop and flashing warning not to shut computer off it would crash to call posted #, spoke to several people and not to call first number again. that my computer was viruses infected and no firewall That they could fix it and would cost $3700.00 for 3-year contract with HYBRID IP SECURITY and if I didn't hire them my computer would crash. What was I to do. I signed contract thru my email and HYBRID IP SECURITY took my e-check made out to NOVA TECH for $3700.00. They worked on computer remotely and left it on for a good amount of time. and in future to call them once a month to check everything. Around fall of 2023 I had begun some suspicions and stopped making monthly calls. Beginning April 2024, Hybrid rep left me a voicemail that contract was due. I returned call, they said contract was up and soon they would debit my bank account for $5900.00; I said that I didn't want to renew and to cancel the renewal, the rep said, first you need to allow us in your computer and retrieve some things and then we will do the canceling. Prior to this I didn't receive any email from HYBRID SECURITY about an upcoming new contract, nothing, the original contract says lifetime. At this point I was sure of a scam, looked up scams on BBB Scam Tracker and located them by phone #, and found others scammed by same people. I ran to my bank and closed my bank account and got a local and reliable Network IP Tech to take care of my computer with strong protection. HYBRID IP SECURITY continued to call me 2-3 times a day with different phone numbers each time this went on a couple of months, I never again picked up the phone, they left message every time that unless I renew contract, they would debit $5900.00 from my account. The last 2 messages were " If I don't renew that I would receive call from their collection office and could ruin my credit. I haven't received any more phone calls in almost a month
