Received a call from “Justin” and “Charlie Morgan” posing to be with Advance America. Told me my $5000 loan app was received but my credit score was just under what they needed. To boost my credit, they reversed charges and fees in my checking account. Then told me that the money was theirs and to send it back to them from a money service company. Repeatedly, over a five day period, I was told they are working with the credit bureaus to boost my credit score then I would receive the loan. I needed the loan for an emergency so I was naive and believed them until I realized they were scamming me. I reported this to the credit bureaus and the bank that was involved. Guess what? I was told there is no protection against scams with my bank. I will be filing a complaint with the FBI and all other reporting authorities so others won’t let this happen to them.
