Description

I purchased an online service through the company mspy, which is a secret phone monitoring service so parents can track what children are doing on their phones. I bought the service however, I only made a single purchase of $82.60 but after I made this purchase the next loading screen on their website let me know that they ALSO charged me an additional $61.39 for "tech support", which is DID NOT agree to purchase. I emailed them telling them I didn't pay for 'support' and asking what were the benefits of 'support', and that I'd much rather have my money back. I get an email a few days later: "Dear Customer, Thank you for your email. If you have not used the mAssistance service and you think you will not use it in the future, we suggest that we convert your payment into 1 month of the Premium package and extend your subscription accordingly, so, in total, you will receive 4 months Premium plan for no extra fee. Please let us know if this offer is suitable, and we will proceed with this service for you. Awaiting your response! Best Regards, Kim Hobbes Billing Manager" That obviously didn't answer my question because I wasn't complaining about the service. I was complaining about the unauthorized purchase of $61.39 that I wanted put back into my account. At this point I was annoyed with their business practice of taking the $61.39 out of my account without my permission and wanted a full refund. This was my email to them: "Hi Kim, I will kindly reject your offer. I would just like the full refund before my refund period expires. Thank you." The billing manager then writes back a few days later: "Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting mSpy! We understand your concern. However, we make decisions regarding the reimbursement based on our Refund Policy. Check the link: https://www.mspy.com/refund-policy.html. Note that when purchasing mSpy, you have agreed to the terms and conditions of the mSpy Refund Policy. Unfortunately, we cannot proceed with your refund request since it contradicts mSpy Refund Policy. As an option, we suggest covering mAssistance for 3 months and extending your subscription accordingly. Would that be suitable for you? Always happy to hear from you. Appreciate your cooperation. Best Regards, Kim Hobbes Billing Manager" Again, the $61.39 was an UNAUTHORIZED charge on my account and I need that back. But upon reviewing their refund policy (because at this point I also want the $82.60 refunded to me) there are pretty much NO exceptions when it comes to refunds. Basically making this service non-refundable. Which is misleading because on their website it says they WILL give you a refund so as long as the reasoning for the refund doesn't violate their refund policy. One of the non-refundable reasons stated in their policy is : "personal reasons (I’ve changed my mind, I’ve made a purchase by mistake, Software was not used, etc.);" Which is very broad. I need my $61.39 put back into my account and I would like you to investigate them for their shady refund policy which has pretty much NO exceptions when they clearly state on their website they WILL give you a refund back within 14 days.
