I am the front desk supervisor for a Dallas hotel (Le Meridien Dallas by the Galleria), and we are one of many hotels that have been dealing with Algotels.com. Guests will pay this company for a booking, and Algotels will send them a fake confirmation code, and guests arrive expecting a paid for room. But we never receive any bookings at all, and when we try to contact Algotels, we get hung up on/forwarded/ignored. This is becoming a big issue and my heart just breaks for people who are losing hundreds, thousands of dollars with fake bookings. Because despite paying Algotels, they end up having to pay the hotel property as well in addition to Algotels because we have no payment receipt from Algotels.
