Description
On January 7th 2024, I wanted to apply for Nexus, so I googled "Nexus application," and one of the first websites that came up was ********************************************** (I don't remember if it was a sponsored website or organically came up as one of the first choices. They also use the website *************************) It looked like an official government website, so I filled out my information (including drivers license, passport information, previous places of residence and employment, and credit card information). They charged my credit card $149.94 for submitting my application on 1/13/2024. The vendor name for that transaction my credit card statement is [easy-nexus-pass*****(**************************/), with the address of 321-3849062, NM 87505 US. I was charged that on top of the government's US Customs $50 application fee (which was processed on Jan 8 2024) While my information was passed into the Nexus, the look and feel of the website was incredibly misleading to look like an official government website, and the $150 extra was charged just to pass along that information to the real official government website. They now have access to my personal information and credit card details, and I am incredibly concerned that my personal information has been compromised.
