Description

I received an email that looked legitimate. It said my Mcafee subscription was about to run out so 399.98 was going to be charged to my account for 3 year renewal. I wanted to cancel the subscription so i called the number on the email. They walked me through the steps to cancel and said i needed to open my bank info. I foolishly did and exposed our bank information. I then had to fill in a report that had a dollar amount, 4000.00. It was supposed to be 400 so they said i needed to get gift cards for the difference. I ran around and sent them 2 cards for 500 each. I eventually caught on they were scamming me but they had already gotten 1000 out of me. So foolish. I should have known better. I am a senior citizen on a fixed and can't afford to lose that much money. is there any chance i can recover the 1000? Thank you.
