Description
I booked a hotel via this third-party booking site to save money, Super.com. The booking was nonrefundable and non-cancellable, which I understood when paying. However, the hotel in question declined to accept the reservation from Super.com, and did not offer a room. Super.com then still charged my credit card, despite the hotel receiving no money for the reservation. I was offered no hotel room, and the hotel told me they would approve a full refund from the Super.com. Unfortunately, as I pursued a refund, Super.com makes it essentially impossible to receive a refund (despite having offered zero services in exchange for money). They continually changed the rules of how I was to submit proof of the booking error, and required inordinate things to provide that proof, such as a notarized statement from the hotel manager or "certified agency" (I don't know what that would be). They clearly intend to specifically frustrate and discourage anyone from receiving their money back via refund, despite circumstances that are completely out of someone's control. Perhaps some bookings through this third-party hotel booking site are legitimate, but I would like to warn others about them, as I believe they are severely suspect and scam-like.
