I reached out to the person through Instagram Monday 10/16/23 at 5:18 pm saying "I'm an upcoming wig influencer and wanted to promote a free wig for you in exchange for 5 stars and a detailed review posted to my TikTok account". She responded at 5:26 pm- the same day, stating "... all I need is 2 videos/2 picture install videos in my wigs, and pictures must be in different locations. you will be paid normally ($500 -700 maxed out) ONCE a month. Also, you will need to be available to be reached out from 4 pm-9 pm. And I do charge a one-time deposit of $50 to secure your spot". I responded back by saying "I would love to work with you but this looks like a scam that happened to me before", she quickly responded back with " You can check out my story I have current ambassadors and check my highlights I have great wig reviews and shipping. I'm 100% about my business". I checked her Ambassador highlights on her account to see that she does have 2 current ambassadors along with a picture of her shipping out orders she received. I then went back to the conversation on Instagram asking if the $50(securing my spot on being one of her ambassadors) was a one-time payment, she responded by saying yes and for me to pick 2 wigs and she'll get me started. She then states that she accepts Apple Cash. On Tuesday 10/17/23, the conversations switched from Instagram DMs to iMessages. I texted her at 4:22 p.m. clarifying that the amount I was sending was $50 to secure my spot, and she said yes. I sent her $50 via Apple Cash. I then chose the 2 wigs I wanted to promote for her, she asked for my shipping info (name, email, and address) and that she'll send me an email containing shipping details and everything you'd be receiving at 4:28 pm. At 4:59 pm, she said that she had my wigs ready to be shipped and that I had to send over my safety fee that was in her bio. She also states that it's completely refundable the same day I receive my wigs. She then asked how would i want my tracking number sent, via email or phone number, I said via email. at 5:02 pm I asked, "Is the $75(amount for the safety fee I saw in her bio at the time) for every shipment or is it another one-time payment". She said it was a one-time payment and that I should send it through Apple cash, she also says that " It will be refunded on Thursday(10/19)". I sent her the $75(safety fee) via Apple Cash at 5:11 p.m. She then texted me asking if I only sent $75, she provided a picture of her bio from Instagram stating that the safety fee was $175 ( in her bio she states that she is the OWNER of jadadiorwigzz and is an LLC Verified by The State of California), then texted "same goes for my other 3 ambassadors". She then sent 2 photos of the other girls sending the $175, so I apple cash her an additional $100 at 5:17 pm. At 6:01 pm (the same day) she texted "I'm shipping now can you send $75 for shipping? I use fed ex 1-3 day delivery and the charge by pound. I'll refund it Thursday(10/19) with your safety fee", I didn't see her message until 6:52 pm, responding with "Do you still need it? I was doing an install". she says "Yes, I'm grabbing a few more orders from my vendor". I apple cash her the $75 (shipping fee). She said "Great, I'm sending the tracking in about an hour", I responded with "ok, just to clarify the $175(safety fee) + $75 (shipping fee) will both be refunded back to me this Thursday(10/19/23)" at 6:59 pm, she says "yes, mama" at 6:59 pm. Later that night I saw on her Instagram story she was at an atm with cash in her hand between 8-10 pm. Wednesday at 3:57 pm I message her on iMessage saying "Hi, did you send the tracking number? I don't see it in my email", then texted her again the same day at 7:25 pm saying "Hi, were you able to get my message?". Then Thursday 10/19- the day I was supposed to get my refund of $225 (safety & shipping fee) I messaged her on Instagram at 1:58 pm saying "Are you getting my messages?" she saw my Instagram message that same day. I again message her on iMessages at 3:46 pm saying "Hello. Are you going to send the tracking number along with the refund?" and another text at 10:52 pm saying "Can I get my money back?"
