Description

I emailed a local contact (private fakebook contact) about a work from home customer service position. I was then contacted by the HR representative from IQor (Christine Theis) via Microsoft Teams who went through the full process and description of the position including hours and pay. I was told that a computer was to be sent our to me and i needed to upload specific software that was to be used for my position. I should have known I was being scammed when I was asked to deposit the company check to then purchase the software. Once the purchases were made, the checks were marked as fraudulent and I have a lock on my bank account until I can bring it positive again. Checks looked legit and so was all the communication and email addresses. I saved all the communication and understand that I was in fact scammed and fell for this scheme. total of $2900.00 I now I have to cover to clear my bank account
