I bought 2 movie tickets through the Fandango app. As soon as the order went through, I had a popup message on my phone informing me that I was eligible for $15 cashback and I needed to provide my credit card details, address and phone number. I did so thinking it was from Fandango but after doing so, it turned out that I was subscribed to something called Mode Earn Club and my card was immediately charged $3. I also received an email from the CEO, Dan about offers on how to exploit loopholes and get good deals. If I did not cancel my trial subscription, I would be charged $19.99 in 7 days and the same every 28 days. I immediately sent an email to the provided mail address about cancellation but there has been no response. The entire email transaction is pasted below. I was hooked into this expecting a cashback on movie tickets I purchased on Fandango and this is not right. Expecting a clear response, cancellation of the subscription and reversal of the $3 charge before I take tis up with Better Business Buerau and Consumer Court.
