Instagram algorithm presented an ad with testimonials for automated crypto trading. I clicked and completed the requested personal data for more info. That resulted in two months with 6-8 daily phone calls from various area codes and numbers from across Canada and the US. I requested them to delete my data, or to at least send me info on how to formally request to have my data deleted. Always the response was they can’t do that. I had no record of the original website that collected my data. Finally someone informed me the company name is Quantum AI registered in Toronto Ont. Google search presented a different website than the url for Quantum. The privacy policy on this website reveals implied consent to provide my data to third parties as the company’s source if revenue. The whole experience is inappropriate and illegal use of personal data for purposes other than how it was collected. Beware to avoid inviting this abuse of personal data.
