This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
Initially, I received an email from Wish Washington about a parcel inspector position for Intelligent Post, claiming she’s found my resume on the Monster job site. She also called me numerous times about an interview. Upon answering the phone, she gave me the job description, asked me a few questions, and gave me the job on the spot. She sent along documents to fill out, including a W4, an employment contract, a request for a photo of my ID, and a direct deposit form. Once I sent that in, I received additional contact information for my supervisors and managers. Their information is provided below: Fred Miller | Shipping Department [email protected] (986) 300-4007 Marco Cordell | Shipping Department [email protected] (986) 300-4009 Terry White | Shipping Team Supervisor [email protected] (986) 300-4007 Claudia Phillip | Manager, Shipping Department [email protected] (986) 300-4003 The job sounded simple enough: receive packages at home, take pictures of the contents, print a new shipping label, and send out items via UPS, FEDEX, or USPS. Pictures of items, as well as invoices and receipts from packages being sent were to be uploaded to a dashboard (https://intelligent-portal.com/user/login.php). Occasionally, I would have to pick up VIP packages at various stores. I was promised a base salary of $2250, along with a $50 bonus per package and a $100 bonus for each VIP package. My first payment would be given after working for a month (on 5/10/23). After that, payments would be bi-weekly. I received various packages and sent them out. If I had any issues, I was able to easily get a hold of any of the supervisors listed above. They would also call me to get updates on packages yet to be delivered. As payday approached, I happened to stumble upon a scam forum talking about this company and realized I’d been duped. Since then, I’ve stopped delivering packages. I’ve been receiving constant calls, emails, and texts from my supervisors trying to contact me about deliveries. The most recent email from Claudia Phillip is threatening to send my ID information to the authorities, who will then freeze my accounts. I haven’t responded to these messages and still haven't received any pay I still have the various shipping labels for the packages I did send, as well as a handful of stuff I didn’t send. I wasn’t able to attach everything to this report, but I’m happy to provide all this information if needed.
